Default What new body contours are you seeing?

Besides getting into smaller clothes size, what are you noticing in the mirror that you couldn't see before losing some weight?

So many things are popping out! haha My cheek bones are getting more and more prominent. Also lately in just the right lighting the ribs above my chest are starting to show. My ribs and hip bones have been showing for a while though, although they continue to show more. Also some definition in my abs is peeking through(just barely though! ) What's most interesting I think for me is that I was very "curvy" and people would compliment me on my curvy figure. But as I continue to lose I'm becoming much less curvy, more straight. Not just hips/chest but my limbs in general. Its different and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

Those upper ribs are really wonderful to see! I never ever saw mine before!

Michou, I'm with you re ramping up the workouts. Have you decided which one(s) you'll do first?

Dottington, I have some of the same reactions to my new shape. It's like getting used to a new identity. I've decided it's the real me, for better or worse, so I'm sticking with it. It's still a little jarring though. People's compliments figure into this stuff more than we think, sometimes. When i first lost all my weight, people began to say I looked a little too skinny, though I was not. But I began to believe and would use that as a reason to overeat and regain 12 lbs. Now I know that I feel healthiest in the "little too skinny" body.

mars-yes I'm trying to accept this as the "real" me too Ugh people are so annoying with their comments sometimes. I have people telling me I'm too thin now as well(which is simply not true) and my mom now compliments me every time I eat!

My collarbone is becoming obvious. I can both see and feel my bicep, tricep, and deltoid muscles. There's a wee bit of definition starting to happen along my ribs and abs. This morning, I woke up feeling a hard lump in my hip, then realized it is my pelvic bone. So many changes.

Congratulations, worththeeffort2, what a great way to start the day!

Dottington, stick to your goals! Mothers' comments can especially push buttons (as my good friend says, they're the ones who installed the buttons ) My mom has been pretty consistent with me from childhood on to age 60 (meaning MY age 60!) with the 'you can never be too skinny' message. And of course who else but Mom will suggest long sleeves to hide the baggy arms, lol?

I'm getting bony!

I realized this week that I can see my collarbone without hunching my shoulders forward. It's still not real obvious but it's there! I also discovered my ribs this week. And my hips, wrists, ankles, feet, elbows, and knees are definitely more bony. If I sleep on my side with my knees together, I have big red marks when I wake up.

Now, I'm daydreaming about some muscle definition......

I have actual definition of my waist, and I can see now that I have hips lol I've never had hips, and I think part of it is that I'm just finally starting to develop them (I'm only 20), but part of it too I think is that my waist being bigger kind of hid them before. My jaw line is more prominent too, and I even feel like my eyes look the tiniest bit bigger as my face slims down. My collar bones are poking out a little more too.

Collarbone and a defined waist! Also my ring sizes are super small. I tried on a ring that I wore in high school and it fits on my thumb...!

My hands don't look so chubby...Lol
My face is thinner. My arms are slowly showing definition. My ankle bracelet dangles now.
My thighs look more muscular and defined instead of fat and flabby. My belly is going down.

The first place visible when I lose is my love handles - they vanish anywhere under 200lbs. Belly proper stays put till under 180lbs. This means I look good from the back way before I look good from the side!

My collarbones started showing a long time ago. They were like the first things that popped out and I freaked out at first thinking I was dying or something LOL. Googling my favorite actress assured me that visible collarbones is normal. Now I can barely see, in the right light, the top part of my ribs. When I exercise, my hip bones are faintly, almost visible too. I carry most of my last 10-20lbs on my stomach so I look great from the back but get to the front of me and I still look pregnant and flabby.
