Default levothyroxine and other supplements

Just wondering if any of you have found a consistent way to schedule your other supplements around your thyroid med? I am trying to consistently take fish oil, a multi, calcium and viviscal - which is supposed to be taken twice a day am/pm and contains iron.

What has worked for you?

THanks!!

As anemia is not a problem I have I don't take iron containing supplements, but I have recently (like ten days ago) been put on Armour thyroid and I do take multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplements as well as other nutritional supplements. I've always taken my multi-minerals at night so there's no conflict there but I keep my thyroid and other hormonal supplements right by my bed and take them nearly as soon as I wake up and my other supplements later in the morning (usually ends up being 45 minutes to one hour later).

If you're trying to improve your hair/nail growth you should consider adding the amino acid NAC. I didn't really notice what was going on with my hair (which I only cut maybe three times a year anyway) but I can tell you my nails (which I keep very short) grew like crazy, nearly doubled their growth rate.

The thyroid prescription could do more good for your hair than any OTC supplement. Hypothyroid will make your hair thin/fall out.
