I went to see an Amish naturopath today. He looked at my blood and could tell my liver and kidneys are very stressed out. He also tested my urine and saliva and said I was very acidic. As well as dehydrated and there was excess protein. Also something about digestive issues and things not being absorbed like they should be. Then he said all this was stressing my heart and making it work harder. Needless to say this scared me. Along with recommending some supplements he wants me to go on a raw foods diet for two months. While I want to get better, this diet has me a little worried. I can pretty much only eat raw fruits and veggies, sprouts, and seeds. And I can only eat a little a day cooked. Everything has to be raw. Mostly whole, smoothies, and juices. He also said no protein, since I have excess I don't need any. I don't know if I should jump in with both feet, or if I should more ease into it. Two months is a long time. And I've never been a huge veggie eater. I have thyroid problems and there is a whole group of veggies I can't have raw. I'm willing to give it a try, but it seems so daunting.
Any tips from anyone that has either done this diet or uses it as a lifestyle?
