Default Free Pedometer

Pedometer and Weight Loss Program Giveaway

Is Wal-Mart becoming Walk-Mart? On Jan. 10, 2004 Wal-Mart and SAM's Club
stores throughout the USA welcome a full day of nutrition and exercise
information with the Slim-Fast Challenge, including a pedometer.

People will also receive a body mass index assessment card, a pedometer to
use in conjunction with the personalized exercise plan, and product samples.

"We hope this event inspires interested customers to speak to their
physician about the role weight loss plays in healthy living," said Theresa
Oria, Wal-Mart pharmacist in New Millford, Connecticut. "This New Year
challenge is the first of many healthy living initiatives customers will
find at Wal-Mart and SAM's Clubs in 2004."

My husband said he just heard the commercial for the Walmart/SlimFast free pedometer thing on Saturday. You have to sign up for the SlimFast Challenge to get the pedometer and stuff. It's still free though. <shrugs>

I went and signed up for this yesterday ( I love the slim fast bars, they're a bargain at 2-5 points) and got the pedometer. And was shocked to find out that with just 3.5 hours of working, i logged 3100 steps, about one and a half miles!
