ahna! - I see there is an iPhone app for counting too, Eat Slower Pro. Cool! I downloaded it tonight and played around with it... I am going to try this!
I was raised to eat huge portions quickly, and as an adult I got into the habit of mindlessly eating in front of the computer or the TV. A bad combo that led to me being over 100 pounds overweight, and later a binge eater.
This appeals to me because it is very low cost (even free!) and has no built-in food group restrictions. All foods are ok, as long as you gradually restrict how many bites you take. No complicated calorie tracking, points tracking, carbs tracking... really very little writing at all.
Nothing extreme, just slow and easy weight loss =
