Default coconut oil?

Hey everyone,

I keep seeing posts were people are using coconut oil.

Something new? How do you use it. Count as a fat like other oils.

Am willing to try new things just wondering what you do with it.

Thanks for any ideas...

Saute with it, put it in baked goods, I love to fry eggs with it.

Add it to coffee to make bulletproof coffee.

I can't imagine putting it in coffee. What does it do to it? Doesn't it give it a greasy taste?

I also have read about a lot of people using it throughout the forum. What is the benefit of it over other types of fat?

The key to really good bulletproof coffee I've found is a good immersion blender at the end. BP is grass fed butter and coconut oil. I also add a touch of half and half.

It is delicious. And filling and energizing and healthy. LOVE IT.

Make sure any you get is organic and virgin. It is a nice energy boost and filling is why people use it in the gym.

People generally loose more weight when using it. If they say have 200 calories of coconut oil a day they might cut 400 calories elsewhere it is so filling.

And no problems frying with it unlike olive oil. Just SUPER healthy.

My doctor actually had me start adding it to my coffee to help constipation. I melt the oil and add a tablespoon to my coffee. It is greasy but I found it easy to get used to and it did help my problem. Now I season green beans with it, and use it often for cooking.

We use it on our hair in my house as well as in cooking. Like QuilterInVA, I LOVE eggs in coconut oil and also chicken.
