So, I had to have an insurance health screening today at work. The company doesn't pass on the insurance increase if we do the screening. They test Sugar, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, BMI, and take you Blood Pressure.
I could see the lady sizing me up as I walked up to her table...not speaking until she needed my finger to prick me for my blood. She folded my forms and stuck my slide into the machine. Told me to go sit someplace else while I waited for the results. I watched her take care of the next lady in line. Then I watched her see my results and glance up to look at me, AND then I watched her move to the next machine and run it again!! GRRRR!! Even though I'm fat I can still have good numbers lady!!! After the second machine finished she wrote them on my form and sent me to get my BP taken.
I'm very happy with my numbers and feel this was an exciting boost for me on day 71 of my new lifestyle.
This is great. People get especially incredulous when they hear what my diet is/was: eggs, full fat milk, meat, butter, TONS of veggies, of course, and avocado, olive oil, etc. HIGH FAT DIET with tons of green veggies.
Lowest cholesterol ever. Lowest blood sugars ever and my triglycerides were fine (as they always were).
That's great for you! I'm curious what kind of machine she used (and if there's a way to test this without going to the doctor. They always have the worst time drawing blood from me
I don't know what kind of machine. She pricked my finger, filled a straw type thing and squirted it onto a strip. That was it. It tested everything at the same time.
