The whole time I was doing C25K, I was running on a treadmill. It was taking me 39 min to run 3 miles (13 min mile)....well, today I ran outside for the first time on the local high school track and used the Nike+ app to track my pace and time....3 miles in 28 min 19 sec
I know I ran at a faster pace outside, but on the treadmill I felt if I went any faster I would fall off
My first mile my pace was 9'25", second mile was my slowest/hardest as I was getting winded around a mile and a half 10'39" and my final mile my pace was 10'03". The app put me at an avg pace of 9'32"
I was stoked and surprised. A 10 min mile has been my goal from the start but I never thought I would actually achieve it. I didn't think I would run any faster outside, slower if anything.
Super proud that I ran it all without walking
