Default Hormone Changes on IP?

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced different monthly cycles since being on IP? I have had a period that has lasted a month this coming Thursday...I am 40 and not sure if its from the diet making changes to my body and hormones...I will be on the plan 4weeks Thursday also...could it be a coincidence?

Did your coach tell you estrogen is stored in fat & due to the rapid nature of the weight loss, TOM could be off & backup birth control would be a good idea?

Yeah, I had a lot of irregular bleeding in the beginning. I did just before IP, too, though due to fibroids. Do you have fibroids? Anyway, yes, I had lots of extra periods, sometimes with just a few days' break in between. I just kept telling myself that the more weight came off, the more normal my periods would become. Now, I am back to normal pretty much, except for those blasted fibroids. Hang in there and keep going.

In addition to wacky cycles (bleeding while taking OCP - come on!), I have also noticed that I am waaaaaay more emotional at times which I can only assume has to do with off kilter hormones - today a work, we had an in-service about palliative care for children and I was in tears. Even worse, I saw a picture frame tonight for memorializing pets and was in tears again!!

Trying to keep in mind that this is just a by-product of melting those fat cells which = success!

I've been on for 8 weeks and I have had nothing but period, I will bleed for a week then have a few days to a week off then bleed again. It sucks but at least the reason why is good!
