I think it is ok to "over-correct" sometimes at the beginning of a change in your eating direction to physically, mentally, and emotionally switch gears. And sometimes not having to deal with constant food choices can be so much less stressful when you are trying to make a big change.

I know my first couple of months of change were quite rigid in the planning department because I found it easier to fight the cravings and break bad habits when I simply followed my plan and didn't have to spend alot of time making food choices or cooking.

Hang in there. As Freelancemomma said, go with what works for you. It sounds like you are very aware that this isn't your long-term eating style and I assume you have some idea of where you'll go from here.
