You can have a restricted for your snack...you just can't have 2 restricteds in one day. Phase 1 is 2 non-restricteds and one restricted every day. Some people choose to do all non-restricteds, but I think having one higher carb item a day helps control my cravings.
I love Quest bars for my snack (dessert). Unfortunately, my favorite is the cookie dough and that's considered a "super restricted", meaning you should only have it 1x per week!

, and I'm so glad it's okay to have 1 per day (which is what I was doing).
So far, I only like the Cinnamon Roll, Coconut Cashew, and Strawberry Cheesecake, so at least I can have some variety.
