Default Green Tea

Does anybody drink this stuff? Does it really help you lose weight? I've been doing alot of web searches for info about this and there are a couple of research studies which seem to indicate that it might boost your metabolism.
(but you need to drink at least 3 cups a day).

I'm wasn't a big fan of green tea, but I found with a couple of packs of nutra sweet it seems to taste pretty good.

Get the flavored stuff. I like green tea w/mint the best.

I make mine in my little coffeemaker. You put the bags in the pot & let it steep as long as you want--it makes 4 cups.

I LOVE Jasmine tea, too, Si! It's hard to find around here, though.

I too have read that drinking 4 cups of green tea boosts your metabolism. It is probably from extra trips to the bathroom!

Also read that vinegar does too.

So who makes Mandarin-orange flavored green tea? I'd love to get some of that, although I drink decaf green tea, which is a bit harder to find.

Hey, I used to live in Japan, and have drunk gallons of the stuff. But, in Japan you drink it straight - it's sacriledge to put anything in it - I won't tell, Matt! It's got tons of caffeine - does that boost the metabolism? Anyway, it's good for you for tons of reasons, so it can't hurt!

I just wanted to post a thanks to the people in this thread. Over the weekend I bought some various flavors of Green Tea and I am in love with the stuff. I love it because it tastes good and gives me a little boost. I like coffee but I can only stand to drink one cup in the morning, any more and it is just yucky to me. But the tea is great through out the day

Thanks!

I bought some over the weekend too and I love it! I got the regular kind, but will probably pick up some decaf sometime this week. I'm not used to the caffine anymore.
Thanks for the thread!

a while back at wal mart i found some green tea with peach. its ok but once you get used to it its pretty good! its the wylers brand so i dont know if it actually helps and is REAL green tea or not but i have been drinking it every now and then. i may give it a try to see if it helps with the weight loss. i can handle 3 or 4 cups of it a day.

I live in Bowie, MD and we have Whole Foods markets with sell more flavors and variations of green tea than you could shake a stick at. So if you have one of these in your area try there!

There are some very interesting articles if anyone is interested. I have informed my Aunt (who has arthritis) and my Mom (who is a smoker), heck, I may just inform my whole family
