Overall, I think saturated fats were lumped into the issues with red meat. I mentioned elsewhere that there does seem research to back up the idea that red meat can be cause heart disease, specifically, l-carnitine found in red meat. I don't think saturated fats are evil, I just think you'd balance out your fats overall.
You can't out-exercise poor eating habits.
