While I understand the difference between net & total carbs, I am curious what it means in the body. Are the subtracted carbs absorbed at all--do they contribute to the calorie count? Are they simply absorbed so slowly that they do not stimulate insulin secretion? Is there an upper limit of fiber before it behaves like regular carbs?
