My understanding is that a long as it is 0 calories/ 0 fat and 0 sugar its ok. I occasionally mix together some club soda, water and generic sugar free/ calorie free drink packet (I like fruit punch) from the grocery store. It tastes like a cream soda and knocks out the craving for something fizzy.
