Happy Hump Day! I thought this week would drag but it's actually going by pretty fast! I only found out yesterday that the girls' Pony Club Christmas Party is going to be tonight, at the farm! Cindy said she just assumed I knew. So she and I spent the day cleaning the garage and setting up the Christmas tree and tables. I'll finish decorating in there today, and hopefully the girls were able to get the tree decorated.

Anyway, coffee's good and hot and there's plenty of it. Starbuck's Holiday Blend. Come join me for a cup before this day gets away from us.

Oh my, does starbucks Holiday blend sound better than whatever I'm drinking right now! Linda, you are a saint, that's all I'm sayin'.

Yesterday was a rough day - left home at 6:15 am for my kitty's 10 am appt in Pittsburgh, but that cardiologist was amazing. She did in 10 min what it took my boss 60 min! Not looking good, but Gordon took it like a champ (although he did pee everywhere, then had to be muzzled, but hey! it was a hard morning for him!). Got back to work just on time at 2 pm, and it was a rough day, getting home around 8:30. I am proud though, that I had every excuse to eat out or eat poorly, and I did not!

Today will be better! I do have to go back to work this afternoon for an OSHA meeting (Zzzzzzzz) which is a bummer.

I did write on the menu thread re: panera's autumn squash soup. Anyone every have it? It is fantastically amazing! I did make a copycat version, which is pretty darned awesome if I might say so myself, without the added cream. Ahhhhhhh

Have a great day!

Good morning Late night last night so late start this morning. I'm "enjoying" another sleep challenged phase. Love those. I see lots of coffee in my future.

I am happy to report that all but 2 of the food porn cookies are gone. They aren't the worst thing, made with 100% white ww but still not something I want around here. I'm going to focus my holiday baking urges on times and places I can bring, and leave, things. Maybe I need another hobby

Well it's my Friday again. Tomorrow I'm using one of the last 2 must use vacation days. I think I'm just going to tack the other one on to the holiday vacation. I'd rather have those holiday days as open vacation days but the contract is what it is so I'll make the most of it. That means today, 4 days next week, three the week after and then nothing until 1/2. I have a long list of projects so it can't get here fast enough for me. The current job market isn't supporting my desire for a change of direction so I'll stick with my 80% and keep working at creating a job I really want to do.

Meanwhile this job is nagging so time to get moving.

TONIGHT! I bet you are scurrying around, Linda.

Tammy, glad the cardiologist was skilled and poor Gordon didn't have to suffer long. I'd pee all over too!

We have a skiff of snow out there this morning but it is going up to 45 tomorrow! I plan to try to shovel the rest of the snow off the deck and get the outside lights up. (They are LED, Linda.) I have pet therapy this afternoon and will get some fresh veggies while I'm out. I'm getting salad cravings and that's a good thing!

On we go with Hump Day!

Good morning. Tammy I love Panera's Autumn Squash soup. Did you post your version in the recipe thread? Great job yesterday. I don't know if I would have resisted. Hoping for a kitty miracle for Gordon. Poor little guy

Linda you are quite the amazing woman. I bet the party will be a huge success and beautifully decorated.

Cyndi I am keeping the holiday faking to a minimum. I have a recipe for Pinole cookies that I want to try...love them!!!

Doing a clean P1 today and maybe tomorrow. Hormones are wacky and I ate way too much yesterday. Not poor choices just ginormous portions. I did ride yesterday, but my heart wasn't in it. I am trying to establish my riding routine. Next month the "serious" training begins. Gotta be ready for May

Good Morning!!

Well today is day 9 of phase one for me and I am still feeling pretty good....I did wake up with a very upset stomach this morning though....not sure what's causing it....

And today is my last day of holidays.....but I am ready to get back to work!! I did get to the gym last night - and what I decided is that I am not the type of person who should go to the gym in the evening....lol.....I was cranky and unmotivated....I guess I am a morning person!!

Well I hope you are all having a beachy Wednesday!!!

Samm

I'm sure those are food porn but would you share the recipe by PM? Those are probably my favorite cookies, being a good Italian girl from Utica and all

Good Morning

It's blizzarding here and hovering around 0. Oh, well. I went up to the project at 4 to check the water....thankfully, everything is fine. We'll head back up soon.

samm, I hope your tummy feels better soon!

Tammy, yay for not making poor food choices over a stressful day. Glad you like the cardiologist!

Ruth, good luck putting up the lights.

Jennifer, yay for P1!

Cyndi, I have a new hobby which takes up all my free time...not recommended but I've noticed it has really helped with boredom eating. Hope your work schedule works out.

Cottage, have fun party prepping! (And thanks for getting us started)

warming here to the point of possible freezing rain this afternoon. I have a school council meeting tonight which I will try not to fall asleep during.
Dreading absolutely dreading Friday when we have to go to my husband's boss's house for dinner. She is a tiny little Celine Dion wannabee and she irritates me- possibly half out of physique jealousy but also because she is a successful woman who has a showplace home. I get to be the frumpy home daycare provider wife whose house is always littered with toys and dings in the walls even though her own children are grown.

Sorry didn't realise this was a diet specific thread. I am not on South Beach.

Hey ladies! Just checking in while my Mock Cornbread and Beef casserole bakes. yum!

Finally hung the wreath and hopefully DH and I will at least add lights to our tree tonight. Decorations might have to wait until tomorrow. I had several errands to do after school and the running around made me get home later. At least my walking buddy from work and I got in a brisk 1/2 hour.

I need to continue to keep tabs on my snacking if I want the scale to shift in the correct direction. I CANNOT have nuts around or I will take "little" handfuls until they are gone. I need to go back to cheese or hummus or something for my afternoon snack, particularly this month.

Hope everyone had a good hump day. On the downhill slide for this week.

Have a great evening all!

Beth I am the same way!!! I try to but the little pre packaged men's health (I like them) ones. They are ridiculously expensive, but they keep me in check. I can easily devour an entire container if not portion controlled.
