Default What is everyone eating today?

Hi All, Was just wondering what everyone was eating today, how today went for everyone? today was my first day so maybe overdid it on the bacon lol.. then had some brussel sprouts and chicken, with celery as a snack.. I did have some natural peanut butter - I know its not on the approved list but did track it for my carb intake..

Good Morning to you Clarington

I eat 2 eggs (omelet) with 1 slice of cheese and sausage links (or pattys) for breakfast every morning... for 9 months now.. LOL and I change out the cheese... Cheddar or Provolone or Muenster... and sometimes I have bacon too (its very salty... so not to often for me)

Lunch.. I usually have Boa*rs head turkey rolled up with a little cheese and full fat mayo (use to use Miracle whip.. but that has sugar) or a romaine salad with left over grilled chix or taco meat and crumbled bacon

Dinner... That's where I do the salad if I have not had it for lunch or the 6 carb pita and make a pizza with sausage or canadian bacon or grilled chix.. its soooo good and my treat once a week.. or I make grilled chicken then broiled with a coating of Parmesian and spices as the coating OH YUM!

That's my usual!

Default What I ate today

Hi all, I am Sara and I have been lurking for awhile. I am about 10 days into induction and have lost almost 6 lbs from 248 to 242.6 this morning. I have been a dieter since my teens (now 48). I did weight watchers 2 years ago and got down to 209, but haven't been to my goal weight in 20+ years.

This morning I ate 4 pieces of Turkey bacon and egg whites with cheddar cheese.

My first mini goal is to stay on Atkins with no cheating at all until Thanksgiving! Weight goal for Thanksgiving is 230. Hope it is doable! Have a great day everyone!

Hi Sara,

I'm Sarah too - mom to 2 (not twins though, kudos to you!). I'm in my forties too, similar starting weight to you and only a few weeks ahead of you (I started Sept 16th). Happy to see you here!

I think short-term weight goals are somewhat helpful (I like the focus the "lose 5 pound challenge" gives me - and I love your goal of staying cheat-free until Thanksgiving. That's a great behavioral goal. I've made it cheat-free for 6 weeks now! The 230 goal by Thanksgiving sounds do-able, but I'm always cautious with time-based weight goals, because while you can control your behavior (cheating, what you eat, exercise, etc) you can't always control the scales - and in my experience stalls are part of the process. Plus I tend to be a perfectionist and beat my self up if I don't make the goal - even if I'm only a pound or two away.

Hi all,

Small loss overnight - 0.2 but I will take it. Quick question is there any other way to update the ticker other than recreating it every time you have a loss?

mom2twins, I update mine once a week, or every 3-4 pounds, and I start from scratch each time.

What kind of supplements does everyone take while on Atkins? I was doing IP and taking multi vitamin, omegas, cal/mag and potassium, plus a Vit D cause mine is low.

Mom2twins & kcandponies - Click on User CP and go to 'Edit Signature' link... go to section inside of the poster's text block that shows the signature info... just edit your current weight there, Save, and the ticker will automatically reflect the change.

For B-fast, an egg and coffee
For lunch I had diced chicken breast, onion, spinach, and a little tomato all mixed together like a stir-fry with cream cheese mixed in. It was sooo amazing and I haven't been hungry again all day!

Good for you, lilturtle!

I'm sticking to the induction plan, but I'm very lazy when it comes to food, so mostly I eat pre-packaged smoked turkey or roast beef, and afternoons, I munch on organic baby spinach leaves right out of the box, without any dressing. Occasionally my husband makes a cheese omelet for me. I think tonight I'll break open a package of smoked rainbow trout that I splurged on. =grin=

Fiona W rainbow trout sounds good. Other then canned tuna, seafood is too expensive here.

I ate chicken salad again today and will have beef sausage and cheese for dinner.

I ate half a chef salad today I am not very good at eating veggies so this was a good change. I've been eating twice a day with no major hunger between meals. Is this the right way?

Lilturtle -whatever way works for you is the right way

My favorite meal today was chicken sausage and brussel sprouts, the brussel sprouts were cooked in olive oil, cant stand them hard and underdone they just taste bitter that way so I make mine on the softer side
