Good morning all and Happy Friday! TGIF!
This week is proving to be quite a mental challenge. I suspect I will either show no loss or a small gain tomorrow at weigh-in. I have been 100% on plan ---getting all veggies, water, supplements, etc. I have added really light toning exercises this week.
I know that 'no loss' or a gain has the ability to put me in a funk...so I'm trying to get proactive. I'm saying it aloud (well online anyway) that I won't let that derail me - and I will definitely post tomorrow after weigh-in.
In the dark recesses of my head, I know this is a longer journey and I've had great success on the program...and will continue to see success. I just have to prepare myself for the mental games that can pop up when the scale doesn't reflect success like we'd like it to. And there it is again...prepare, plan, prepare, plan...

I understand how you feel I ave been out of town on vacation and have down Amazing at staying OP. although I am a nervous wreck to get on the scale when we get back. I will be very disappointed if I don't post a lose seeing how I have stayed OP, but I know that most meals weren't prepared be me and may have had hidden non OP stuff. Wishing you luck on your Weigh in.

Hello Lovelies!!!

So the appetite is still non existent but that helps with me being 100% OP, lol.

We had a pot luck last night with the neighbors and there were lots of delicious carb heavy dishes, AND CAKE!!! But I had my dinner salad before the pot luck and I had chicken and some beef at the dinner. Oh and I passed on the wine and champagne (UGH!!)

Have a great OP day!!

I SO identify with this vachinyc! I hope you will give yourself the same advice you'd give to any of us! Just stick with it, it will happen! BTW, you are doing FABULOUS! Wow, great losses already. I need to catch up.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

sarita75 I wanto to congratulate you on running! You posted it late yesterday and I just want to acknowledge your first day on P3 and your run.

I'm an avid runner and look forward to adding it back to my routine in a few months.

AliExpat Great job staying OP. It's astonishing how much food is in front of us and around us on a daily basis. I'm learning (not even ten weeks into this program) just how frequently I indulged in "just a little", but did it over and over. Even though these kinds of potlucks are hard (my office has food in it nearly every day!) it's so good that we are in the real world for P1 so that we can learn to say no.

vachinyc You're telling yourself all the right things. For most people, weight loss slows as you get closer to your goal, and you are so close to yours. (!) That said, showing a small loss or no loss is normal, and you're right to not let it derail you.

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! This morning said 177 on the scale! (I only change my ticker with the clinic weight which is usually two more than mine due to clothes and whatnot). 177 is so thrilling to me, I have not been in the 170's in so long and to see that 7 there makes me almost giggle in the mornings! I also brought a pair of size 14 pants to the tailor about a week and a half ago to get hemmed, they were snug in my hips when I tried them on for the tailor. Here we are about two weeks later, when I put them on after getting them back...they are almost too large! So exciting. I know I have a while before I am a size 12 but I just can't wait. I am also totally out of xl shirts. I need to get rid of all of them because they look like tents and I have been showing too much up top if you know what I mean . I hope for a great weekend!

Yespositively, thanks! You know what I realized last night? I realized that when there is a lot of food put in front of you there is an automatic response to start eating! The smell of the food, the look of the food all triggers some instinct to start eating, regardless if it's good for you or not of if you're even hungry, lol. I passed my husband a piece of cake and I got a whiff of it and I immediately knew the cake was moist and the strawberries were so fresh it would feel so good in my mouth. I guess that's why food companies pour so much money into research and development and advertising to make their foods appeal to our senses rather than our appetites.

Has anyone had a WI dream? I had one last night for the first time...and 11 pound loss! I guess only in my dreams haha. I feel really good today though. I'll be in NYC all day on Sunday...starting with a show and ending with a sporting event...any advice!?

I can totally relate. ?I have snuck a couple peaks at the scale and haven't lost a thing in 5 days. I too have been 100% OP. It's so hard to keep you head in it. I am surrounded by so many temptations all day long and I've stayed strong but, no losses makes it hard to stick to it. I feel like I deserve a reward for my hard work. MY normal WI is Tues. but, I'm doing it on Sundays for the Christmas challenge. Please please please be a loss. lol

Huge NSV for me yesterday...I have a pair of jeans that have been hanging in my closet forever that I really wanted to wear, but alas, they were too small. I couldn't even get them over my thighs (they have no stretch to them...they are "real" jeans). Well...I tried them on last week and they made it over the thighs but wouldn't do up. I put them on yesterday and...they fit! I wore them all day. I was so excited. I can't believe how quickly things are changing for me! I don't necessarily see the changes, but obviously something is happening.

Let me just say...I'm loving IP!!!

Cake Is my biggest weakness! I asked for my very own wedding cake for Christmas one year! Boy, does that give me insight into my relationship with food. :-(

I knew I was all in on IP when I served my own birthday cake and didn't even lick my fingers. Also, when we attended a wedding this summer and they served my fave white wedding cake with custard and fresh raspberry filling and I watched DH eat 3 pieces of it while waving it in my face and rolling his eyes, moaning! I wanted to hurt him and take that cake! Lol.

Now that I am on maintenance I find I don't feel deprived when I skip the cake. It is definitely all about my mindset. I feel so empowered to have control over food now!

I'm starting my 2nd week of Phase 2 after a -1.2 loss at weigh in today! Not great but I will take it!

I'm now in planning mode for. P3 and getting excited. IP has given me life! I'm down 41 lbs., no joint pain, wearing a size 8-10, for the first time since high school. My DH is amazing and it's like we are on a honeymoon all over again!💞

Gave a great IP weekend all and stay focused on the pot of gold!

For all you SASKATCHEWAN IP'ers....... GO RIDERS!!!!!👍👍🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏆🏆🏆🏆
