Default Turkey Day Challenge

This is a weight loss challenge for all of us doing LA Weight Loss...

Lets post our starting weight and then our weight 3 times a week.
The three days are up to you, just as long as its 3 times each week.

There is really not a prize for winning this challenge other then being the person who lost the most...and in my book that is the BEST prize of all!

So who is in?

Post your name and starting weight!

Cant wait! Hope we get a lot of responses!

Hi...my name is Barri. I love in NJ, I am 43 years old. I am a wife and mother of a 15 year old girl. I work full time as a manager of 3 public utility offices all over NJ. I need all the help I can get with motivation and sticking to plan!

My biggest problems are weekends and my wine! Hoping this works for all of us! Hope it gives us all the motivation and encouragement that we all need to stay on plan!

My starting weight is 174. Hoping to ultimately get down to 145 when all is said and done.

Will post my next weight on Friday morning!

Best of luck to all!!!!!!!!!

ok, I'm in! Starting weight 200 (yikes-promised myself I would never see that number again!). I'm up 12 lbs from my lowest weight of 188-so that will be my goal for Thanksgiving. Evening snacking and alcohol has been my nemesis as well as sporadic exercise. I'll weigh again Fri morning.

I have no idea what I weigh, but I am in. I will post a number tomorrow! I do know that the last time I did LAWL I lost 80 lbs. I think my lowest was 182. I have a LONG way to go to get there. My biggest issues are not cooking for myself (despite having gotten that culinary degree) and then eating whatever the boyfriend cooks and puts in front of me. Also, I work 7-3:30 so I am looking for dinner around 6 or so. BF thinks dinner at 8 is fine. This leads to conflicts and by the time dinner rolls around I am so hungry that if it doesn't move, it's fair game.

Oh... I will also update my picture and tracker eventually too!

I had to wait for the water to warm up for the shower this morning (Brr . .it got cold here all of a sudden!) so I jumped on the scale and was so happy to see 197 . . .hated that 2 as the first number! I won't log my official weight until Friday-but it's motivation to keep my portions in check. I don't know what I did to deserve that (besides dance class) since groceries are low I ate more carbs than I should. But I'll take it!

My new computer sucks. I just hit what I thought to be enter....and blam.....my whole post gone. WTF? I guess I better figure out what key that it. Anyway, my WI is 209.4. I want to see o Onderland by turkey day. I am doing a 2 mile turkey day walk/run, by the way.

JM....I have missed your sense of humor. WTG with your dance dance revolution. Ha. J/k. It is so good you have something your love to help you stay active. And thank goodness you broke that 200 streak. I am so thrilled we have people here on this forum who really want and need to work at this.

Cassi....so proud of you. It is tough to face our worst critic (ourself). You rock girl, and you definitely can do this.

Barry.....thank you for starting this thread. We all need a little extra encouragement right now. It is that time of year when foodies start getting a little nutty.

Ok, good day to you all. Hang in there over the weekend...and shoot for a 0.2 lb loss over the weekend.
