Last work day before long weekend! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

My goal today is to move slowly enough that I don't aggravate my back, that I don't sit for too long (even though it really hurts to stand up, it's worse if I don't), and that I don't get upset at my weigh in because I know that inflammation causes water retention.

Kids are off today, so no lunches to make! I love not making kids lunches!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Thanks to Lisa I went to the site she mentioned on yesterdays daily chat evepets blog: http://diettalktoday.com/alternative...for-breakfast/

I found an alternative for the IP crispy cereal:

For Cereal Lovers:

The only Ideal Protein cold cereal packet I’m aware of is their Crispy Cereal, which has: 110 cals; 18g protein; 2g fat; 7g carbs; 1g sugar; 0g fiber; and 210mg sodium. It contains Sucralose.

I’ve been using a cold cereal called Smaps, made by Dixie Diner. It’s tasty and crunchy, a bit like rice krispies, with a sweet maple flavoring that makes it good enough for a snack from time to time. I eat it with about 1/2 of unsweetened almond milk – or dry sometimes as a snack food. A bag contains 16 servings of 1/2 cup each, at a cost of CA$12.49 + taxes. This is another product I’ve been buying online from thelowcarbgrocery.com. It’s nutritional values per 1/2 cup of dry cereal are: 81 cals; 2g fat; 8g carb; 6g fiber; 1g sugar; 15g protein; 0g cholesterol; 31mg sodium; 129mg potassium.

Good Morning IPers, happy Friday, and Happy Thanksgiving northern neighbors!

LittleStar, take it easy on your back, and you have the right attitude, don't let the scale get you down if it reflects some water retention.

Happy Friday all! And happy day before Thanksgiving long weekend to my fellow Canucks!

Today is rainy and yucky after a week of nice weather and of course, my son has an outdoor field trip today. Oh well, he won't melt Went to his volleyball tournament at another school yesterday and it was nice to see some kids and parents from baseball, soccer and hockey. It was also nice to get all the compliments on my weight loss, felt good.

I did take a picture of the hot pink skinny jeans but it won't let me upload it, boo! If I can figure out how to use it as my avatar without it being sideways, I'll put it there

LittleStar - definitely take it slower and easy on your back and good luck with your WI!

vachinyc - made your Peanut Butter stirfry for supper last night - yum, yum, yum! Did it with the cabbage and wow, was it good .

Gotta run and find the rain poncho for the kiddo!

Jo

Red face My WI today **sigh**

Ok first let me start by saying HAPPY FLIPPIN FRIDAY!
Congrats to all the NSV/Losses and baggy clothes.

Ok you all know that this week has stunk and was kraptastic. Today is off to a kraptastic start already. And dh did nothing for me for my b-day, it is just a b-day but it breaks my heart knowing that work was more important than other things.

So today I stepped on the scale to see that I had gained 0.2 lbs!!!! I was expecting a 1-3lb gain........ but it is so minimal YAHOOO HOOOOO!!

Anyways I am waiting for my mom or dad to call with a report from the insurance schmuck today.

You know stress causes water retention....in a while when things settle down..and you get on a more even emotional spot, I bet you lose a tad more... and get to where you should be. I'm still bouncing from medical stuff this week. Figure it will be another week til my body has purges all the stuff I had to drink and have injected. The wise ones that remind us all to give things time when there is "junk" going on ... are right.

Hmmm.. I got out of the shower today and wrapped a towel around me. I looked down and it touched together all of the way down, no weird side split. Huh, well whaddayaknow!? Granted, it was an old beach towel but still ..... NSV.
