Default In the midst of a binge. :/

I honestly do not even know why, but I am hardcore binging right now. TOM? Work stress? Bad eating during the day? Not sure. Tips or tricks to break a binge would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!

Good for you for reaching out!

- Can you leave your house and go for a walk?
- Get on the phone with someone or meet up with someone in person to distract yourself?
- Exercise. Stretch, workout, whatevs. Just something to keep your body active. If you feel tired, this can help you to feel more energetic.. maybe it is because you take in more oxygen when you exercise? Not sure what the reasoning is, but it works.
- Take a bath, a shower
- Paint your nails
- Focus on someone or something else (dog, cat, friend, partner, kids, etc.)
- Journal
- Sing
- Do art
(or something creative/cathartic to help you figure out your emotions)
- Drink water/tea/fluids

I hope these ideas are helpful. Again, I'm super proud of you for reaching out! I know it's not easy to do mid-binge. It usually takes time to learn to manage our emotions other than through bingeing, but you can figure this out and definitely get yourself on the track you'd like to be on. Keep up the great work!

Just thought of another one: Googling
Ex. Pinterest is an absolutely AMAZING way to kill time and distract yourself! Just be sure to avoid images of food.

Thank you!!! So I got off my rear, chugged a water, and did a 1 mile walk at home work out. Binge crushed!! Thanks beloved!!! Hopefully I don't see too much of a gain in my daily weigh in tomorrow. I ate a lot of sodium before I stopped. :/ Did drink two more waters afterward though. Here's to hoping! And thank you for your words of encouragement as well. Definitely a boost to my spirits when I probably would otherwise feel like a failure!
