Default Satisfying September Running

Hi ladies!! We are one month closer to Fall & some gorgeous running temps!!!

Hit 7 miles this past Friday while on vacation and 4.25 more on Saturday which I was happy about - lots of rolling hills as well. BIG, CRAZY, SCARY 11 mile mountain mud run this Saturday - wish me luck!

How is everybody doing? Please feel free to post any/all September runs here!

Mountain Mud Run??!! Holy cow that sounds intense! Good luck and I can't wait to hear a race report!

I ran a 1/2 marathon on Sunday. Gun time of 1:45:38. First place in my age group. Achilles was in rough shape yesterday, but feels better today and I am going to try a recovery run.

10K race on Saturday!

Jen

Admiring you long distance runners and your speedy times and distances! I haven't been running outside in ages, humidity/injury/excuses on my end...I hope to today or tomorrow before I am off to Connecticut to spend time with BF's family, his mom always feeds us SO MUCH and we never end up exercising.

Congrats Slimming & Deva!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohooo!!!!

Krampus - I'm JUST now getting back to a distance of anything over 4 miles since March...I had to take a hiatus for a few months...

Going to try to get another run in tonight before the race, I did it last year & it was by far the hardest one of all... jeepers! Lol.

checking in...

Im3898 - great job with your runs. Can't wait to hear about your mountain mud run.

Jen - congrats on your half. Amazing. And congrats on winning your AG.

krampus - hope you get back in the game soon. Hang in there.

Slimmingsi - great race!

My half is coming up on Sunday. I was worried because my last two weeks of training I was sick and could barely run. I was getting upset and frustrated when I tried running again. Went out and did 12.5 miles on Monday, so I'm feeling better now. My 12.5 wasn't as fast as I had been doing, but not bad (for me). Looking forward to the race this weekend.

Ran my half marathon this morning. So excited

This was only my second one. The last one (August '12) was 2:39. Today was 2:15. Really pleased with myself! Looking forward to sub 2-hours next summer!

Ran 4 miles outside last Tuesday and 3.5 miles (hilly) with a friend I consider "extremely fit" (he's a wildfire firefighter) yesterday. Feeling good!

Mud-run Mountain Obstacle Run = COMPLETE!!!

It wasn't bad AT ALL this year, compared to last year!! I guess too many ppl complained it was too hard last year so they made it 8-9 miles instead of 11.5 and took out some of the hardest obstacles. I'm actually kind of bummed haha. I finished 200/2500 women so I'm happy with that! My quads are still killing me from running DOWN the mountains lol. The fact that I run helped me so much over SO many other people - I find that a lot w/ obstacle course races. Most people walk them ...I RUN! Lol.

How is everyone else doing?

Im 3898 Congrads on your run!
Kai also congrads on your half
Krampus It must be a nice change to run outdoors,not sure what it is like where you live.But sometimes for some it is easier just to run indoors. And how GREAT! for you to run with some one so fit must have BUMPED your confidence {if it didn't it should!!!}

As for me as I am always bragging I am so lucky to live where I do {wish I was better at posting pictures just can not figure it out!!} I live in the country and am able to run any assortment of directions and miles with not even seeing NARY a person or car,some routes a few cows,rabbits and deer a few hawks and lots of birds.

Yesterday my puppy and I did the uphill route 400ft gain 4miles round trip. The gain is done in 1 mile so it works ya! Then did an hour of weights.
I am still playing He!! with my feet....go for nerve conduction test in week and a half { the disadvatage to living 3 hrs from big cities}.Today is a work day and pain is the worst after that {waitressing}

Well no ones been posting much.
I ran on Fri with the girl 4 miles we were almost home {about a block away} she got startled and ran in front of me, Not quite sure how but I fell hard on my left side mostly shoulder elbow hip and knee...good thing was did not let go of leash {it was a block of the hyway. I have two rods in that arm from a very bad break 10 years ago and also have no bursa sack in my elbow. Was pretty banged up with bruises and street burn but NO BREAKS or damage!!! So lucky...and she stayed close!
Took a couple days off hiked but did not run or do weights.
Today we climbed back in the saddle and ran 3 miles and I did some boxing and weights. I will live!
As for my feet SAME but I just try and ignore them till they scream really loud!!
