Default Post your week 1 and week 2 weight loss on IP

I am curious if you have the number handy, post in a reply your exact

- 1st week loss in pounds
- 2nd week loss in pounds

I am curious to see how much of a reduction in the rate of weight loss that most people are seeing from the first full week to the second full week on the Ideal Protein Diet.

For me I lost

- 8.0 pounds in week 1
- 5.0 pounds in week 2

What is depressing about losing 6 lbs in 2 weeks?
That is 3/week!
It is 6 lbs not on you anymore!

Everyone is different. We all have our own rate of weight loss. Some of us are 100% on plan and some of us don't follow it exactly, which can also make a difference.

For me:
Week 1: 8.2
Week 2: 1

The second WI I had just started TOM.. so I am hoping tomorrow is better... my cloths are WAY looser this week, however my scale doesn't show much improvement (again). Plus my WI is in the afternoon.. I usually WI in the AM before I eat and drink... oh well... I am pretty sure the measurements will show my sticking to the plan!

Happy Wednesday all!

I would contend that those who lose a lot of weight their first couple weeks lost mostly water weight or food just consumed (still digesting). For that reason, even tho I saw 192 on the scale when I started I knew my realistic starting weight was 190 (the day before had been the end of an anniversary weekend with lots of bad food).

I think we do more damage overemphasizing the first couple weeks and that makes us lose track of the fact that 2 lbs a week is dang good for a diet that has no increased calorie demands etc.
