Default Cycling: keeping track

Hi everyone

I need somewhere to keep track of the distances I've cycled, so I figured I'd start up a thread here to keep me accountable. I'd like to go cycling at least twice a week, preferably three times. I don't really have a specific goal in mind - although once the Summer's over it might be necessary

Feel free to join in if you like.

19/7/13: 50km
21/7/13: 50km

Total: 100km

Tomorrow I plan on going for another ride - hopefully I'll be able to keep going and not give up and take the train instead!

Hi Ninae,

At this moment, I am cycling on a stationary bike and a youtube video of a spinning class which is very intense. I have done 55 km since July 18. In one or two weeks, I will probably go on a bike trip with my dad and I'll log on the distances. We used to go on these 400 km bike trips when I was in much better shape than I am at the moment. I want to have a little taste of this again. My father will be 72 years old in two weeks and he still serirously kicks my butt. It's not even close.

No sooner does she start a thread about cycling and she goes awol!

The heat's kept me inside this week - but we've had lots of rain and it's cooled off somewhat, so I hope to go for another 50km later today. I'll keep you all posted

Hi everyone, my update:

19/7/13: 50km
21/7/13: 50km
28/7/13: 30km

Total: 130km

My left knee started hurting so I stopped off early (on the advice of a friend who's had knee problems for years) I think tomorrow I'll rest up to give whatever it is a chance to go away.

Today a friend and I went for a mega cycle-ride. Muscles in my body now ache, which is one way of making their acquaintance, I suppose....

It was also really , though not , and I was lulled into a false sense of security. Now parts of my skin are heat generators! Oh dear.

19/7/13: 50km
21/7/13: 50km
28/7/13: 30km
4/8/13: 32km
8/8/13: 57km

Total: 219km

So both today and yesterday I've been so tired I've barely had energy to move My skin is sore, as are my legs, and the scale's gone back up too. Is this simply water being held on to?

I did a lot of rides, Ninae, but I did not log them in.

45 km, 40 km, 25 km, 2*20 km.

When your muscles are sore from cycling, you have to keep moving (the same muscles at low-intensity) to help relieve the soreness. Walking for thirty minutes would help you.

I have learned that after a big mountain hike. And yes, you will retain water after a big, unusual workout.
