Default Maintainers Augmenting Their Health & Fitness Through August

It's the last beautiful prolonged moment of summer ... already the days are a bit shorter, the nights can turn a bit crisp, hinting of what's to come, and the back-to-school advertisements no longer feel premature.

There's still time to move our bodies and breathe fresh outdoor air.

So join us as we log our exercise for the month of August.

Glad to hear some love for this month's picture. I thought it was a good one, too, and spoke to all the ways in which we can choose to move our bodies.

Friday, August 2nd:

60 minutes elliptical, random intervals, resistance at nine, alternating forward & backward, and unfortunately feeling a twinge of plantar fasciitis in my left foot. And I thought the once- or twice-a-week runs had been remarkably injury free.
60 minutes back & bicep routine.

Someone was on the StairMaster this morning during my usual time. Go away for a week on vacation & this is what I get when I come back ;-)

Saef, I love the motivation inherent in that 4-part image you posted for August, but do you realized it's been photoshopped? 3 of the component images have been compressed vertically to make the women appear taller and thinner than reality. The distortion is especially egregious in the last panel (the woman in the red shirt). I tell you this not to take away from the "fitspiration" but to bring to conscious notice the manipulation of our emotions that is a constant undercurrent in much of today's media.
