Default Weight gain in 2 days?

Why is this? 2 days ago I was 117.4, then yesterday 117.8 then today 118.4

I didn't cheat on my diet. Even if I went over my calorie limit, which I don't believe I did, but even if I did, that wouldn't cause a pound gain in 2 days. It's not anywhere near that time of months, so what gives? The only thing I can think of is maybe I ate too much sodium? Or maybe I didn't have enough water. Is it still possible to gain a pound of fat in 2 days when I am watching what I eat?

Extremely unlikely. It's surely water weight. Besides, it's only a pound! Personally, I can fluctuate 5 lbs on the scale in a day from water weight, and I'm not that far from goal. You'll be right back down in no time

I second water weight. You would have to eat 7,000 extra calories to gain 2lbs. I seriously doubt you did this in two days.

Agree with the above posters who say water weight. You didn't gain 2 lbs of fat watching what you eat. TOM is not the only thing that will cause water retention. I can say that with certainty since men also suffer from weight gains due to water retention, as do women who are post-menopausal (I fall in that category). Even high humidity can result in water retention...not sure where you are but it's pretty humid in most parts these days.

P.S. Congrats on getting to 117 from 212...good for you!

I agree with the others. It's more than likely water weight. I just wanted to say congrats on your weight loss. You are so close to your goal!

Hey thanks everyone! Some of you thought it was 2 lbs, but it was 1 lb in 2 days. But anyway, I am hoping the scale will show a lower weight tomorrow!

oh GOSH! I got it way WORSE!!!... I gained 2.2lbs in 2 days. Was 168.4 on Sunday morning, and this morning I am 170.6lbs... I AM OFFICIALLY DEPRESSED... SIGH SIGH SIGH!!! and now, I feeling like binge-ing!!!

Its water weight. Nothing to worry about. Also, are you weighing yourself at the same time each day? Its best to do it right in the morning after you go to the bathroom.

My weight can fluctuate up to 4 pounds in a day, depending on the amount and type of foods I ate. Sleep generally fixes it again though.

I always weigh myself in the morning, after I go to the bathroom. Today I weighed in at 117 even! Well, the scale did drop to 116.8 but I always go with the higher weight. I am really happy to see progress!
