Hi guys - the surgery was GREAT - I honestly was able to put my sneaker on after & walk home with nothing else but a wrap. The before was annoying - b/c of anesthesia you can't eat or drink after midnight and my appt was moved from 11 a.m. to almost 1:30 due to the dr. running late. That was the worst of it! Soreness after but I never needed the vicodin I was sent home with at all.

Yesterday was my first day back at the gym - I wanted to wait for all swelling/bruises to disappear. I didn't run just mostly squats etc. Foot feels ok today - more sore than before I worked out but certainly not ouch pain. I'm going to run tonight so I'll report more tomorrow...

B/w this & an emergency root canal which was the worst pain I've ever experienced for about two weeks, I've only worked out 3 times in 3 weeks which is the longest stretch in years...this S*CKS!!!! I definitely felt bad for myself and comfort ate so now it's time to work on turning it all around...once again lol. The enclosed pic reminds me so much of what I'm going through and others I'm sure - fighting w/ myself to put on my sneaks & put down the fork!

Im3898 - glad to hear your surgery went smoothly!! Hope your return to running goes well

I did 6 miles today midday outside, sweat a LOT! I've been nursing ANOTHER foot pain, but I think this one is on its way out. I'm guessing it's some sort of heel bursitis or Achilles tendonitis where it connects at the heel - probably from doing too much, sigh. Flared up after my long run (11 miles) on Saturday. So I took 2 days off from running and have been icing it and taking NSAIDS. No pain after run today, but am still icing it often just in case.

One day I hope to stop talking about my running aches and pains

I set a somewhat unreasonable goal for me to run/walk 100 miles in July. But it's getting me out running a lot alread

I have 11.5 miles in for the month so far, and planning to go today. I am trying to get out of the house earlier so I can get in 5 before it gets too hot today!

Happy Running!

Nice work Lizzy!

Finally back to running - ran 4 -5 miles on 7/3, 7/4, 7/5 and 7/6. I usually don't run back to back but I wanted to try out the foot & we were on vacation so no gym access. While I felt a bit out of shape, the foot felt great!

Back to the NY temps GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

How's everyone else doing!?

I took yesterday off and will take today off too from running, but I am over 14 miles in for the month so far. Not bad for my first week of the month. I hope to get in more this week!
