I try to stay under 20. It works for me and posting on the daily food log here helps keep me in line I'll increase my carb intake when I get closer to my goal weight.

I'm sticking at 20. I've been there for three weeks and counting. It's working, and I'm satisified with the foods I can eat, so I'll stick here for quite awhile, I think.

Take care,

Depending on what I choose to eat, 20 can be too restrictive for me some days. I aim for under 20, but don't feel like I've failed as long as I stay under 30 and I still seem to be having success at that rate.

I do about (20) 5 days a week....and then no more than (28) the other 2 days. I added a little back after being on program for 6 weeks.

JUST A WARNING TO EVERYONE......
If you never add back slowly, you are still not learning how to incorporate this into your lifestyle for good. If your body gets used to 20 carbs - it might stall your metabolism and when you come off your "diet high" you will not be able to maintain your weight. My parents are perfect examples of this. They stuck with Atkins for 2 years each. They lost about 150 combined lbs....but BOTH gained them all back and them some because they got to a point where they needed more carbs but didn't do it slowly. As soon as they saw a little weight going on they got discouraged and blew the whole lifestyle. That is the absolute hardest part of getting healthy - maintaining!

I did this myself too back in 1992 and I remember feeling out of control as a little bit more and more weight piled back on.

I count every gram and am staying under 20. It is a pain having to count the splenda and cream in my coffee but I do it anyway. I cheated once since I started by eating a couple of slices of pineapple, but luckily it did not take me out of ketosis.
