Default June Golden Girls

June has arrived! Hope you all were safe last night after the storms finished raging.....Bobbi is still busy with her remodel so I am trying to start a new month. Still haven't learn to post our poem.

BUT we're still the Goldens....like any good coffee club pull up your chair, pour a cuppa and lets solve all the worlds problem with laughter and hugs.

Be back later for personals.....k3

Hi there ladies, just checking in for a quick update.
Been off diet for a couple of days due to a bit of depression. Had a really good talking to myself and am now back on track thank goodness. Wondering what damage will have been done when I have my "official" weigh on Monday morning.

Had some lovely weather here for a change and managed to do a wee bit of gardening... depending on how much my back would put up with!

Hope you all had a good day.

I'm slowly getting over this cold. Not coughing much at all today, but sure did a lot last night, but I did stop early this morning and slept in til almost 10 am. I've been so tired so think I needed it. One good thing...with all the moving things for the carpet cleaners my weight is back down again. So I'm motivated again to try harder on my eating plan.

Emaline - Good to hear from you again!

Rosey - you should be proud! I'm proud!! These beautiful young men and women... such guts they have. They all have a very special soft spot in my heart!

Hope your weekend is going well, Goldens! I have nothing planned for tomorrow, but Monday will again be busy... not quite as busy as today, though, I hope!

Later, lovelies!

Great pics Rosey, I enjoyed them all. Your gs is a very handsome young man.

We went to church this am, and it was my first time out of the house (except for our yard) in a week! I almost stayed home but dh encouraged me to go and I'm glad I went. My cough is almost gone, it is mostly the tired feeling left but hopefully it will be gone soon too. My arm is much better...I was able to wash my own back today...it really hurt but I could do it! Yea! I am so amazed at how wonderfully made our bodies are...that exercise can actually change them over time. Our part is to do the exercise and it's hard when you hurt and when you don't hurt you get to thinking, maybe I don't need to do this, but you have to do them. I did not want frozen shoulder so that has kept me doing them.

I'm tired now so think I'll take a nap on this day of rest.

Good evening GG's,

Despite all the BS lately, I had a nice day off. Got some stuff done this morning. This evening, got to hug on DD Sara, cuddle a little bit with DGD Maddie, and then had DGS Corbin on one side of my lap wanting his back scratched and the dog on the other side of my lap wanting her belly rubbed. Grandma/mama heaven. Got a big bear hug from DS Jason on Saturday, and pics via text of DD Jennifer ~ she had done one of those warrior runs ~ a before and after pic.

I have a vacation day tomorrow ~ was summoned for jury duty, but was dismissed, so will use my bonus day to start working on my continuing education requirements for renewing my nursing license.

I'd better quit fooling around on here then and get to bed. Hope you all rest well.

Today when doing the standing against the wall "exercise" I was finally able to touch the back of my head to the wall while looking straight ahead with my chin slightly tucked. That has been my goal since I started PT in Dec. I feel it is a tiny bit of a strain right now but at least I can do it. I notice I have a lot better range of motion in my arm now too, so it is progressing too. I still didn't get back to the gym today ...just feel so tired, but I am slowly getting better again. Seems like it really wasn't that bad a cold yet has left me so wiped out.

Am trying to track my intake today. I've been very lax with that recently. I may not get it tracked here but hopefully will get it into MFP. So far today I've had a Slim-Fast for breakfast and cottage cheese, 5 crackers and 1/2 orange for am snack/lunch. My weight continues to be stable.

Glynne - Glad you had a good day off.

Rosey - Your dinner sounds good.

What a weekend. Pretty horrible. Mom got admitted into the hospital for talking out of her head and didn't even know her name. It was an infection. They don't know where. He said it could have been viral and we may never know. She came home this morning. While I was staying with her on the hospital ds moved out. He's officially in his new home. My heart is broken and I'm proud and happy for him all at the same time. He coming over after work to get things he left that I boxed up this morning for him. I'm also cooking for him. Good way to get him back here.
I did horrible on my diet this weekend. I ate candy and fast good. Just didn't give a hoot. Guess you could say I had myself a pity party. Today I'm back on track. Scared to get on the scale though.

I'll be back later for personels.
Hugs
Cajun

Bruce and I haven't killed each other yet but getting close!
I said he could put up a couple of heads (game mounts)TASTEFULLY in the family room. He hung them when I wasn't home....it looks like a wild game refuge except they are all dead. I hate it, hate it, hate it. How would you like to sit and watch TV with 4 big bruisers hanging over your head? If he croaks before I do, they are all going on ebay.
