I hate the taste of V-8 or tomato juice as beverages, but love them as bases for vegetable soup. I usually dilute the juice with canned broth (or bouillon and water). I like equal parts broth and juice. Then I add whatever veggies I have on hand and simmer until the veggies are tender. You can add seasonings too, like basil or garlic.

If you figure out a way to make V-8 NOT nasty, let me know.

It really is not necessary and is just suggested as a way to get another serving of veggies into your day. I often make a veggie omelet or have a sliced tomato at breakfast if I think I'm running short on veggies. I also throw spinach into my smoothies.

Default lemon

I always squeezed a bit of a lemon in to mine when I first started and that really helped me. I don't do that anymore but I admit to holding my nose, that somehow also makes it easier.

I can drink it room temperature or warmed up, but something about cold tomatoes really puts me off. I mostly use V8 as a base for soups and it's also a great way to sneak more veggies into spaghetti sauce undetected.

Personally, I like it but maybe you could try the spicy version?

Hi, I personally learned to like it,there was abit of a learning curve there but once I got over the hump,it became a definitely ok. Plus it's ok for me health wise. I like it cold w/a sliver of lemon.

I dont care for it either, though I found putting in a bit of the orange flavoured crystal light helped cut down on the tomato-y-ness of it.

I use to hate V8 and now i like it. It was definitely a slow process. I think it helped when i started eating sliced tomatoes with my breakfast. V8 is more flavorful than the plain tomatoes so if seemed like a treat.

By long i'm talking 2 years
