Default Fat Flush Plan/Smoothie Shakedown

Do any of you have experience with this plan? If so, would really appreciate your feedback as I have been considering it lately. Thanks in advance!!

I did the original Fat Flush Plan in 2005. Went from 223 in Feb to 146 in Aug. Worked great....felt great....BUT I could not stick to it for life. I've gone back to it a few times for a couple weeks...still works just as quick but I lose my will to live (lol). It's extremely strict and just not my lifestyle so I've moved to calorie counting which works slower but still works and I can stick to this forever.

Thanks, Kristen! I actually have the mindset that this isn't a "forever plan," but, as you can see in my signature, I have recently gained back 100 pounds of the weight I lost in 2007/2008 and am just wanting to see faster results than calorie counting for now. However, with that being said, I absolutely believe in the "old fashioned way" of calories in/calories out and know that is where I will maintain. I just felt I needed to do something short term to help get a little faster result so I can overcome the depression this regain has brought with it. Thanks, again. I appreciate your input. Good luck to you on your journey.

Do you have to buy the kit online or can you buy it in a store? What kit did you buy(like what all came with it)?
Thanks!

Hi, superchick36. This is my first time doing this, but I just purchased the kit from the Ann Louise web site. Products in the kit are: "Weight Loss Formula," "Dieters' Multivitamin and Mineral," and "GLA-90." It was a lot easier just buying the kit from the site since what I needed was already packaged, and I didn't have to worry that I was not getting exactly what the plan was calling for. Just my take. I am doing the Smoothie Shakedown right now, and I will have to say, I am not hungry on the shakes, so that is impressive. Down a little over a pound in three days (which we know is probably water, but hey, it is downward on the scale!)

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm doing some online research to see if it is for me.

superchick36: Let us know what you decide. If you choose to do this plan, keep us posted on any tips or tricks you discover, and I will do the same. I will have to say that so far I have not been hungry. The smoothies really do satisfy me for long periods of time, which is a plus since I usually get so busy I forget to feed my metabolism in appropriate intervals and then am ravenous when I do stop to eat - which usually equals weight gain for me.

I will definitely let you know if I get it. I have a weird question to ask about the supplements. Do they make you pee more often? I know sometimes weight loss stuff makes you have to pee more and I don't want that. That is probably the only thing at this point keeping me from purchasing it. I'm sure that sounds weird, but I hate the feeling of having to go all the time.

Actually, it isn't the supplements that do that, it is the 64 ounces of "cranwater" and extra water, which is actually a good thing. I know it is inconvenient, but it does help to flush the fat from our system. But where is all the fat we are "losing" going? We know it doesn't evaporate but moves out of our body through urine (mostly) and other excretions, so as inconvenient as it is, it is a welcome thing. I will also add that I haven't noticed that it is actually "continual" but the urination does increase from the "normal" amount.

Just ordered the kit, so I will let you know how it goes. Like you I know it isn't a long term product. I have been sitting at 210 for a while now, just hoping it can help me past this hurdle. Keep us up to date with your progress.

I understand your feelings, superchick. Keep us posted as to how it works for you. I always like to hear feedback from different folks because we all know things work differently for us all, and it is interesting to hear those details. Good luck to you!

Received my kit Saturday so I'll start this morning. I know having a shake for breakfast won't bother me, it is the one at lunch I am worried about. My daughter and I have been having a big green salad fro lunch and will really miss it. I'll let you know how my first day goes. Have you seen any weight loss RitzyFritz? How are you feeling? Are you exercising at all while doing this plan?

Regarding the lunch shake, if it is due to being at work that you are concerned, you can have your meal at lunch and then your 2nd shake for dinner.

Regarding losing, yes - the first four days I lost 7.6 lbs, and I did feel good on the plan! Sadly, my son's graduation came around and I had gotten off the wagon severely, so I have a gain due to the indiscretions from that. Otherwise, the plan really was working for me!

The exercise I am doing is the Leslie Sansone beginner walk at home Youtube videos. I feel good doing that, and for my size, it wasn't too taxing. I enjoy those and they are "free" and can be done at home.

Sorry to hear you had a slight set back. Are you going to start back up again? That is great on the amount of weight you lost it gives me hope. I have been stuck at 210 for a while now. I like to hike but the weather has been horrible. This week is going to be awesome so I should be able to get out every day. I'm hoping this plan will help me with portion sizes and cravings. Let me know if you start up again and how you're doing.
