Default 120 Days Today!

And I have come so far! I never imagined I would have experienced so many physical and emotional changes when I first started.

From losing 38 pounds to running 3.1 miles for the first time in my life, it has been a journey!

I'm very excited!!

I have a new blog post celebrating my 120 day anniversary! Four whole months of being healthier!!

And tomorrow I'm going to start the 30 day shred...and celebrate at 150 days as well! Woohoo!!!!

(I'm excited, can't you tell?)

I can share what I'm doing. Most of it is in my blog as well.

1. I quit my Mountain Dew habit. No soda at all anymore.
2. Instead of drinking my coffee with tons of sugar and creamer (about 300-400 calories per cup made at home) I now drink one cup with only two measured servings of creamer. (70 cals v/s 300-400 cals per cup)
3. I weigh and measure everything I eat.
4. I log everything I eat and drink, but usually I only drink water.
5. I eat out very infrequently and when I do, I try to order something that will fit within my calorie allowance. l

I'm not following any diet plan. I'm eating what fits into my lifestyle and being diligent about portion sizes. I've had chocolate. I've had ice cream. I do not deprive myself but partake in moderation.

In January I started walking every single day. Started only doing a few minutes a day slowly, and now I'm up to running 3.2 miles. I worked at it every day.

I'm never starving. I make sure to eat some type of protein with every meal. It helps to keep me full longer.

Hope this helps!

Congratulations! I enjoyed looking at your blog. I am a hula-hooper too - it's fun, good exercise and I find a stress reliever as well. And I'm also a runner who takes a lot of pride in my running even if it's not all that fast. Keep up the great work! To the next 120 days!

Thanks everyone! I just started the 30 Day Shred today, too. I can't believe how much I want to do, to try!

Hey, we may be slow runners, but we are runners! And I am super proud of that fact!

Sorry for the thread jacking, but I seriously never even thought of using hula hooping as an exercise! That sounds like soooo much fun! I've been trying to find an exercise that is low cost and I would actually do. I think I'm going to buy a hula hoop this weekend!
