ED Fighting Support-Reasons not to purge (make myself throw up)?
I need them bad. I have a very powerful urge to do it. And right now because of this urge I just can't think of any. Help? I get these thoughts running through my head like "What's it gonna hurt."

it's going to hurt your teeth, your esophagus, your mouth. more importantly, it's going to hurt your self-pride. don't do it!

Becuse it doesn't have to be so hard! Be good to yourself. Be patient, take it day by day, step by step. It is not all or nothing, we learn proper relationship with foods step by step, give yourself the time, the patience, the chance to get to your goals the good, healthy, positive, happy way! You can do it!

Is there a way you can talk to someone in real life when you are in this mind set? Your therapist that you mentioned?
Reach out. Hugs to you but you need to halt now & get real time intervention in the non virtual world.
Everyone needs help sometimes to take a step back from a not-so-good path they are on.

Yes I am seeing my therapist tonight. I will be spilling my guts. Just need a little help not purging now is all. I was this close to doing it but decided I will just wait for the bloat to come off from the water I have dranken in the morning (That was my reason.... yes I really hate bloating). She's right. I forgot that it hurts your body like that and yourself as a person. In mindsets like this you forget those things. Thank you and also thanks everyone else

You're 100% right. I didn't think about any of that at all. When you get into that mindset you kinda get brainwashed and forget those things. Thank you!

So that you can be proud of yourself for losing weight the right way! Remember when you said this?
"When I starve myself I am MISERABLE. When I do it right I feel like I have won a prize every day."
It's also true for purging!

It might help to keep in mind too, that the more often you drink water the easier time your body will have in getting rid of it. When I first started drinking at least 90 oz a day my pants definitely would not fit, but when I stayed with drinking at least that much everyday I found I rarely became bloated because my system had become used to it. So yes bloating is terrible but just remember it's your body's initial response to the healthier choice you've decided to make. It'll adjust in no time!
