Default Mini-goal of staying on plan

I don't have a weight goal. But my plan, when i started 8 weeks ago, was to stick with reduced calories for 60 days, then do another 60 days at quasi-maintenance (basically just 100 less than maintenance), and then go to maintenance after that. Well...i'm not QUITE at 60 days yet, but i'm pretty excited that i've made it 8 weeks on plan! That's not to say i've remained perfectly on plan...far from it...i binged several times, badly, but i got right back on plan. I have only lost a few pounds, but this time, more than ever before, i'm in it for the long haul...so i have plenty of time to lose weight (i expect to still lose, albeit very very slowly, when i'm in maintenance, because that calorie level is still lower than what i used to eat).

So...not quite at my first mini-goal of making it to 60 days yet, but i will report back in a few days!

Surfer girl that's all any of us can do is to make a plan ..work it ...and if we fall down get back up dust yourself off and start all over again(there is an old song with that phrase in it and it is now running thru my head )

The best laid plans of Mice and Men springs to mind.

Always build yourself a firm foundation to launch from and zero in on your desired target.

I always knew I would reach my goal ...once I decided to Try ...Failure was not an option.

I have children and at the forefront I want to lead by being a good example...being Fat and not taking care of myself was the worst example I could be setting. So I set out to teach them everybody is capable of falling in life, the Trick is to keep getting back up!!
I love the R words , Refocus , Relaunch, Resilience Reconnect, and Rejoice,Receive
Also very fond of the P's too Persevere , Pray, Praise

Good Luck , I will be watching for your Progress

Surfergirl,

That is a great mini-goal and one we all need if we are going to be successful. Keep up the good work.

Blessings,

Thanks everyone! Normally i yo-yo diet and i may go down by 10 or even 20 pounds over a couple months, then gain it all back 2 months later. I figure if after 4 months, i'm down even just 5 pounds, that's better than my normal pattern of losing and re-gaining all the weight.

Made it to my first 60 days! Next mini-goal is 60 days on what I consider quasi-maintenance.
