Home of the 100% Vol 23
Hello everyone, looks like y'all are still going strong so that is a good thing. There is not enough time in a day for me so it seems lately. I work at the clinic 9-6 Mon-Fr and Sat 9-12 then my second job on the weekend so I have no down time anymore. I am still going strong, I have been staying the same pretty much. I am staying between 220-215lbs and I am OK with that. Great to see all the new faces and of course the new ones. I will TRY to be around more but no promises to be made...Keep on keeping on....Lisa

Thanks Lisa!
Some negative vibes on some of the other threads. I think I'm going to stick here and the Men's Thread and leave the rest to others. I can't trust myself not to get snippy at someone when I think they're out of line. I prefer being the teddy bear not the doberman.

I can understand that, this is the ONLY board besides the Men's thread that I will go on. I don't have time for negative vibes drives me

Lisa/Wuv - glad things are going so well for you; you deserve it. Try to find a little "me" time once in awhile - you deserve that, too!
Monica - I said this on another site, but it's soooo true - Beautiful from head to toe!

Monica you look great, such an inspiration! And photo shoots must have been the theme today! I had some fun going through clothes in my closet! Here's a comparison from Christmas to now:

So at my WI today my coach said my lean mass was down considerably. I know how unrealiable these machines are and that it's not an accurate measurement but this is the 1st time it's been down. She said that combined with my hydration being up for the 1st time in 2 months she was concerned that I wasn't getting enough protein. Her suggestion was 1) if I was concerned with the cost to add 4 egg whites per day for the next week or so to see if that helped or 2) if I wasn't that concerned about the cost to add another packet.
What is a concern is which one is going to give me the protein with the least chance of throwing off my losses. As it is I'm on the lower side of the male loss pattern so I really don't want to mess that up any. Suggestions from some of the more knowledgable folks?

JenRem: Thanks for asking about the interview. I got the distinct feeling they had already picked someone. They kind of cut me off in the middle of answering questions & the answer was incomplete. I was thinking this would be a "first interview" but when I got there, it definitely wasn't! There may have been a 2nd for a person or two but I'm guessing I'll be a recipient of a "thanks but no thanks" letter.
All: I weighed today & I'm .6 away from that elusive 75-off! Of course, then I'll just proceed to the next mini goal, which is 75% to goal.

I think a little extra protein might even help your losses a bit. I broke through a plateau recently (4 weeks with no inches or pounds lost) and switched to 4 non-restricteds per day for 2 weeks. The following weeks were 4.5, 1.5 and .5 pounds lost.
I think it's worth a shot!

Sooo glad it's the weekend!
I have to toot my own horn tonight! There was some discussion last week about family members and their lack of comments on our appearances/weight loss. Happened to me, too, as every single person in my family (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother, etc) has complimented me except 2 people.
Finally my uncle, who usually sees me in yoga pants and an oversized t-shirt saw me in jeans and a cardigan, looked straight at me and said "where did half your body go...leave it at work today?" It was awesome

Yep. I feel the same way. I don't have the same resolve as Lisa. I don't want to yell at folks over cyberspace. So I just either stay here or refer them to this thread.
I remember Lisa showing us all the real costs of cheating. Eye opening, and very helpful. If you know and understand what Ketosis is, and a little bit about the science, it can go a long way...for me anyway.

What a difference! You look terrific! You now have such a tiny waist and your face is so much thinner. You have to be feeling great and so proud of yourself!

Don't you hate that! I think it wastes everyones time when they are just going through the motions for appearances sake. I don't know about you, but I've always believed that things happen for a reason and if something is meant to be, it will come to fruition. So, with that perspective in mind, this just wasn't the job for you. Keep that head held high and continue to look!
You are sooo close to 75 lbs gone forever! You must be thrilled!

I find that those compliments you've been waiting so long for, especially when it's been so darn obvious you've lost weight..... well, they can be really special (despite the delay). Congrats! I'm sure you'll remember your Uncle saying that for years to come And it sure doesn't hurt our ego, either - lol!
