Default Starting IP in Phase 2

Has anyone started IP in phase 2? I tried phase 1 and I am ALWAYS dizzy, and light headed...I also can get optical migraines, (which I did not get in over a year) then I started IP and got a REALLY BAD ONE!

I was thinking of starting in phase 2...any thoughts?

How quickly do you lose in phase 2?

Maybe you should try the alternate phase 1 for diabetics. It includes 1 grain, 1 dairy and 1 fruit in addition to the regular phase 1.

I get ocular migraines also and yes, while withdrawing from carbs/sugars, it kicks the migraines into high gear. i was having 2-3 in a row. It was awful, but the first week is awful for everyone. It passes and you will feel much better. I don't think there is anyway around it for the type of diet this is (whether you start on the alternative plan-the one for diabetics-or the regular phase 1). You will have to go through the dairy/sugar/carb withdrawal in order to get into ketosis and lose weight rapidly. Try a little sea salt in water for the dizziness and make sure you take all your supplements and have the extra non-restricted packet the first week to see if it helps.

All I can tell you is that it is so worth it; hang in there and go back to phase 1 if you can. This too shall pass and you will be so glad you stuck with it!

Interesting! I hadn't had an ocular migraine in many moons and then got a couple out of the blue when I first started. I always wondered whether there was any connection, but never pursued investigating since they went away.

And like you said, sticking with the diet is sooooooo worth it!
