Default need to walk 4 miles

i am totally out of shape and very over weight ....friend wants me to walk 4 miles for a charity (in like 50 days 2 get ready)....what do you guys think?

4 miles? I'd say do it! It'll be fun and rewarding for a good cause.just start slowly and try to walk every day til you reach your goal!

Start training today! Should be awesome. You'll be amazed by how quickly you gain fitness in walking. I would start by walking out from home for 10 minutes and then walking back. Doesn't matter how far you go, doesn't matter how fast you go. Just walk out for 10 and then walk back.

Increase your pace gradually as well as the time you walk. Push yourself a little bit, but not too much. Walk with your friend when you can - get out and enjoy!

4 miles is really easy...my husband and I walk farther than that on our 2 hour walks we like to take on the L.A. river horse trail. it's more like 7 plus miles and it's not very hard, especially when you have company! Try walking a mile each day (or every other for a while) then go up from there. It will be cake!

Ok ...all of you ROCK!! I feel I can do it...AND>>> my kids are going to do it with me! The hubs said he is thinking;;;LOL
