Default Walden Farms Product Questions

I've never heard of Walden Farms until I got to this forum. I checked out the website and it really DOES sound like it's too good to be true -- 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 carbs, etc.

I want to try this Big Mac in a Bowl recipe, but is that allowed on Phase 1? I found the ingredients on Amazon. Also, if it really is 0 calories, 0 fat, and 0 carbs, then can I put as much of it that I want in the ground beef?

Ingredients
Triple Filtered Water, Soybean Oil, White Vinegar, Pickle Relish, Tomato Paste, Pasturized Egg Yolk, Food Starch Modified, Worchestershire Sauce, Garlic Powder, Natural Flavors, Cayenne Pepper, Mustard Flour, Lemon Juice, White Pepper, Xanthan Gum, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Sucralose, EDTA, Sodium Benzoate (to preserve freshness)

It's 0/0/0 per serving. So if it says 2 tablespoons per serving I would stick to that. I can't remember the serving size. It will still have some calories and will add up if you go over often. Just because it says 0 it could still have 0.9 but they don't have to report it if it is under 1. Yes you can have big mac in a bowl on phase 1. Many of us do! I probably would not order too many WF products, maybe try out one or two to make sure you like them. Many of us only have a few we tolerate. Me I pretty much stick to the thousand island for the big mac in a bowl and I also mix it with hot sauce for a "sweet/spicy" dip. Some love it though. Everyone is different. Just don't spend too much bucks on it till you know would be my advice.

Just a word of warning... Don't go out and buy a ton of different stuff from WF before you try it. Some people LOVE it.

Some people (like me) can't even swallow the stuff. I swear it's a genetic thing...To me, and to others that dislike it, it has a very strong chemical taste.
I dropped around $50 on the stuff when I began the diet. All down the drain... inedible to me.

Leanne: I just started too and I bought some WF stuff and was sooo disappointed . I haven't tried the choc dip yet. I saw it at a local store. That may be good spread on a pancake . But I have just been looking up recipes for dressing and they have been pretty good.

*But yeah.. I cant eat the stuff either

I bought the choc and returned it to the store. But I really, really like the 1000 Island Dressing.

Pancake syrup and 1000 Island dressing are pretty good. Don't like most of the other products I've tried. I use the pancake syrup as sweetener sometimes--in stir fry sauce or teriyaki sauce.

I'm not crazy about the WF products although the Thousand Island for the Big Mac in a Bowl is ok and I do like the pancake syrup

The only thing I LOVE is the pancake syrup. The blueberry and strawberry syrup are edible...but since my hubby likes them, he can have them.

The pancake syrup tastes really close to the sugar free Mrs. Buttersworth (IMO)

I found out about it on here too and lost 4.99 I tried the ranch and it tasted nothing like ranch. It was terrible, even my husband who is not very picky won't touch it. But maybe u may like one of their products. I guess 5 bucks to try one is not much to lose, u might just have a different opinion than that of mine.

Ranch and marshmallow are terrible

Sun dried tomato Italian, Italian, balsamic dressings are awesome.
I like thousand island but only in Big Mac bowl.
I have raspberry vinegarette but haven't opened it yet.
Carmel syrup is good too

I hate the Walden Farms products, I dropped a whole bunch of money on them the first week and they taste horrible. So my advice is don't buy too many of them.

I bought a lot at 1st but phased them out. I like the pancake syrup and chocolate sauce.
Thousand Island and Chipotle Ranch dressing.
I use the Asian once in awhile. I usually doctor them up anyway. AND I have been on a making my own kick.

I recently bought the Zesty Italian, and it isn't Zesty at all.

Garlic Herb sauce is vile.
