Default Week 3 Weigh In!!!

Down 5.8 pounds today!

That's a total of 18.5 in 3 weeks!

And since starting, a total of 11.5 inches released.

However, I am still retaining water, hovering around +20 for 2 weeks now. And ideas what might be causing this?

Still ecstatic!!

Awesome!!!! Keep up the great work!!! You are rocking this diet!

As for the water issue, are you sure you are taking in enough water everyday, have you added some exercise and how has TOM been? For me, he just won't go away! Ugh!

Way to Geaux!!!

Perhaps it is a food allergy? That can cause inflammation/water retention. I am allergic to dairy (but not homemade plain yogurt, which I can't have now), so if any dairy sneaks into food/packets I don't pay attention to, I swell.

My sister is allergic to whey protein...so I have wondered about myself. I have reacted to certain packets with swelling and itching (the leek soup was the last I recall) so I avoid those now.

Maybe that is it because you are doing everything else correctly?

I totally understand the frustration!

P.S. Congrats on your loss so far; WoW!!!

I've read on this forum several times that it is actually possible to drink too much water. Maybe cut back a bit. And I do some exercise as well, but I can always tell when I've used too much of one muscle the next day and can tell that I have built up fluid due to recovery. ANd be sure to watch your sodium in take.. I noticed the other day I had a splurge with a burger (no bun) and felt a bit bloated afterwards becuase of how it was cooked. Either way, you are doing great and it sounds like the fat is melting off!! Yay!!
