Default 4 Years ago...

...I found 3FC and started calorie counting not long after that. I began to lose weight. I posted a lot. I laughed and made friends here.

I don't know what I weighed when I started back then - certainly more than 325, which is what I weighed after I'd lost quite a bit and finally broke down and bought a scale. After a few months at 3FC I was down to about 285 and feeling great, even though I had a long ways to go.

Then I had major life changes - an hour long commute to work each way, very little money, a lot of stress. I've had a bumpy road for a bit, unemployment, moving at least once a year, struggling at work and with depression. Was hospitalized and needed a blood transfusion (2nd time in my life).

But I AM BACK.

I wanted to stay on my weight loss plan. I wanted to stay up with 3FC. But I didn't do it. I wish I could go back and carve out time - I had the time even though I was busy there WAS TIME for 3FC but I used it to watch TV or play World of Warcraft or do some other thing to take my mind off my stress.

Anyhow for those who might remember me - that's what happened.

I thought about coming back many times but was always embarassed. In fact I kept telling myself that I would only come back after I got back down to the weight when I left 3FC. Then I could show that I hadn't lost any ground...that I'd just taken a little vacation.

Well it's been 4 years and I haven't been able to do it on my own. I don't know why I was too proud to admit I needed help. But I was.

There's my tracker below. Posting here is step #1. I am happy that I have kept at least some of the weight off but when I imagine where I COULD be...

Anyhow as Mario says..."here we gooooooooooo!"

Don't feel ashamed to come to a site where we all struggle with weight. I know I have fudged before and if I can't admit it on a anonymous site then where could I. I have been there though avoiding the gym until i lost weight, really. Welcome back don't feel bad, feel proud of yourself for seeking the help you need.

I completely understand, I joined 2 years ago, lost 30 pounds and then fell off the wagon. I only yo-yoed about 5-10 pounds from then until Jan of this year, but I didn't want to come back because I just kept thinking about all the time I'd wasted.

But just over a month ago, I realized I needed the site to keep myself accountable and came back. We all slip, but as long as we keep coming back, hopefully we won't slip too far.

Welcome back!

I'm new, but welcome anyway! Just pick up what you've learned and get stuck in again! Congrats on coming back for another round instead of just lying on the mat feeling defeated - that in itself is a victory

Welcome back!! There are many of us who have done our own back and forth dance, and the frustration of having to constantly think "If only I had stuck with it." I've been back for about 6 weeks now, after going AWOL for over a year and gaining back about 60 lbs of the 65 I had lost.

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/100-...off-again.html

Starting over is always better than just giving up, and here's hoping this is the final time we need to start over for all of us!

Thanks for all the welcome!

When I was on track I thought "Who would ever quit this, it's great. You feel better, and it's fun to watch the tracker move" well now I have a lot more empathy!

I joined in 2011 and lost around 30lb. I fell off the wagon, gained it all back, and then some! It happens to a lot of people, we're not alone. There's nothing to be embarrassed about, you should be proud you came back and didn't resolve that the rest of your life was going to be like this.

You can do it! You already crossed the biggest hurdle by coming back and letting us know that you're recommitted to the journey. Just keep on going forward!

I know how you feel. I lost 150lbs a couple of years ago and regained all but 40 back. I spent a lot of time moaning and groaning over why it happened, and how weak I was to let it happen -- wasted a lot of time, really, instead of just getting BACK IN THE SADDLE! You go, Rodeogirl!

Welcome Back Rodeogirl

Don't feel bad we all lose our way, stumble, stall, and gain. I have been gaining and losing the same 5-10 pounds for about 6 months now. Not being able to exercise has really took a toll on my weight loss.

But I am here almost daily posting my weight and encouraging others while trying to find my way again.

We are all here for you and each other you need only reach out!
