I overate today by 100 calories. I'm on vacation. I've been SO good. Stayed 100% OP. And then I went and changed which fish I wanted at the restaurant. Now, I'm 100 calories over.
DRAT. Some day I will learn.
But, on a positive note, at least I'm only 100 calories over. When I think about pre-IP...
I am sorry you went over...but I must say that I am SUPER impressed that it was only by 100 calories! Vacation is NOT easy...so I think you are doing great!
Ok..so you "fell off the IP wagon"....get back on! You're doing great!

I don't think 100 cal is going to be that bad since it was a protein issue - salmon is way more calories than cod but you can still have 8 oz at a meal. At least you know what 100 cal is. My hubby asked for a "honey bun" the other day and when I looked, a small honey bun was 680 calories!! I would never have paid attn before. Now I'm appalled how many calories are in small things! Smartfood popcorn, for being popcorn, has a million g. of fat per serving (ok-- that might be a slight exaggeration )
No worries, girl, we don't count calories! I know there is a general range that folks on IP talk about, but if you stuck to the protocol, the exact calorie count doesn't matter. Sounds like you are doing good while on vacation!
I should have specified. I try to keep a certain caloric count just for myself. (And what my coach actually suggested was a good range) But, I keep myself in a range just to do it.
I know when some people have had stalls in their weight loss some coaches have actually suggested adding another packet or a hard boiled egg or two because the body started conserving it's fuel and adding a few more calories actually kick started the loss again. This happens especially when people have been on the plan for a while and are starting to increase their activity level...even if it's just walking more. If the body thinks it is starving it will slow down calorie burning all on it's own.
lol I wouldn't sweat 100 calories - it's not like it was 100 calories of a brownie or cookies, yes the calorie deficit matters on IP but so does the actual food you're eating. An extra 100 calories of protein and veggies on one day is not going to do any damage

Great that the extra was in protein, especially being fish and not in nachos.
Also, is it possible you are walking more on vacation? Being a tad more active? It all matters. Even when we don't purposely tally, our bodies are tallying every single thing we do.
