Hi slimmingsi - Yep, there's folks around.

Can't dawdle, our local (American) football team, the New England Patriots, plays a big game in a couple of hours, fighting for the chance to play in the Super Bowl in two weeks - the occasion for most avocado consumption in the year in the United States.

How goes it with you?

Yes, there are regular members here -- but as it's the weekend, people get busy with their families and life. I saw your progress pics and they look great; you must be very encouraged by them. I find pics help me see how I am doing much more clearly.

We had a good week; I have been recuping from surgery and trying to eat a bit more to rebuild my strength, plus practicing walking again. One day at a time and one step at a time. It is great to see such progress. I know that I am now down in ONEDERLAND; but will see that once I am near a set of scales down the road.

My food has been good this week; we had chicken pot pie with a salad before hand for Sunday dinner tonight. It was very nice.

Hope you are doing well this week too ...

Yeah - I'm here. I've been reading posts but just not feeling like I've been connecting with anyone/anything lately. The holidays had effected me more than previously thought, and my initial first few weeks went from working out a lot, burning out, overeating, and not getting back on track as quickly as I wanted.

All in all, it's been disheartening.

So, while I've been trying to pull myself back into Good Habits Land, how has your January been treating you (and other thread members)? Have you been losing? What's been working for you?

And now seriously things are going ok to much snow on the ground to go cycling and running through it really takes it out of the legs.

Alas, from a weight management viewpoint, the sad loss of the New England Patriots will decrease the amount of guacamole I will need to eat on Super Bowl weekend.

Do you follow the Dolphins from the UK?

Yea the joys of the tinternet and sky tv!

Tried to get tickets for them at Wembley but failed (massively expensive too!) had to settle for watching the saints chargers match a few years back.
