Question What's to eat at the Beach DAILY Saturday

Just thinking about the answers I am going to get makes me smile and smile and SMILE

Planing what to eat. Hmmmm, what shall I have? Shall I try something new?

What is a typical eating day for you?

What are your No No's?
What is a staple everyday?
Do you give yourself 3 bites of something?
Are you getting bored?
Do you have a favorite recipe?
Do you get your menu's from a web site? If so, which one?

Just had to give you some MORE smiles.

I tried the Blue Bunny yogurt that was suggested and I like it BETTER than the brand I was using. They cost a dime more, but the taste is better and I am WORTH it!

I was given these two food sites by a non SBDer and I will share them with you.

WWW.recipesource.com, WWW.healthy-diabetic-recipes.co.uk

I did try the Tuna/Samon Croquette recipe and I altered it to fit.
Mom, DH and I all loved it.

Have a great day and if I can, I will Just Chat later.

{huggies}

Marcie

Grand-Daughter Ellen,
Take time out this weekend for some fun.

Granadma loves you

Good morning, Marcie and Ruth. Thanks for the links, Marcie... I LOVE looking at recipes.

What are your No No's? Chips. Chocolate. Bread.

What is a staple everyday? Coffee.

Do you give yourself 3 bites of something? No. Once I start I can't stop. I NEVER remember the 3 bite rule.

Are you getting bored? I'm getting bored of not losing weight. But I'm cheating, so...

Do you have a favorite recipe? Chicken crepes with white wine sauce.

Do you get your menu's from a web site? No. I have a huge binder full of recipe clippings from magazines. But I do get some from the Internet...

If so, which one?

Foggy day this morning but its expected to stay a lil cooler than it has been...which I think is great!

To answer some of you questions....

Planing what to eat. Hmmmm, what shall I have? Shall I try something new?

I don't know...but I am not a person who likes to try something new....well...unless it smells good... I know I'm strange, but I can't help it

What is a typical eating day for you?

I know I'll get in trouble for this, but I don't eat breakfast When I get in from my walk I make a cup of hot tea Then around 10ish I have a jell-o for a snack mid-morning At noon I have been making either a salad with some turkey or ham....or I'll have a sandwich on low-sugar bread (I tried the low carb ones, but I don't really like it for some strange reason). For a mid-afternoon snack I have been having a stalk of celery with low-fat peanut butter. Then for supper I make something like chicken or meatloaf. For a snack I have been making low-fat made by Act II. I doubt that is on my list, but it is really good. And that is my typical day of eating.

What are your No No's?

I have to no-no's to seafood... I don't like seafood and I don't like the smell. I guess another no-no would be coffee for me.

What is a staple everyday?

Hmmmm this question kinda stumped me :lol

Do you give yourself 3 bites of something?

[COLOR=dark blue]Ya know I have to admit...I have tried the 3 bite something, but it is just too hard for me to do. I mean if someone were to put a brownie in front of my face, if I say no then I won't eat it, but if I were to take 3 bites...that'd be it...I'd eat the whole thing

Are you getting bored?

Sometimes I get bored with what I'm eating since I am not the type to try something new. One of these days I'll do something about it....or not Other than that, I really enjoy being on this diet more than any of the other diets I've been on

Do you have a favorite recipe?

My favorite recipe is the gingered chicken breasts...BUT...I don't add ginger I just put some lemon juice in a casserole dish and add some garlic to it and let the chicken breasts marinate in it over night....that is something that my husband will actually eat and he's not a chicken eater

Do you get your menu's from a web site? If so, which one?

I some times go to allrecipes.com, just to get some ideas for meals and I replace the things that I shouldn't eat

Well I tried to answer everything.....have a good day everyone!

What are your No No's?
Chocolate, Bread & butter, pastry

What is a staple everyday?
Coffee, Water, Cheese

Do you give yourself 3 bites of something?
Sometimes I might push it to 4 bites hehehe

Are you getting bored?
No.

Do you have a favorite recipe?
Not really

Do you get your menu's from a web site?
No I just try to adapt what I have on hand to make it op. I'm not that great of a cook, so sometimes when I try a new recipe we end up tossing it and having omelets

Good morning, beauties! Just a quick one before I get busy...on TWO hours of sleep! uch:

What are your No No's?
Pastries, cookies and the like

What is a staple everyday?
A smoothie (Tofu, yogurt, frozen fruit)

Do you give yourself 3 bites of something?
I haven't had to use this rule lately....but I have (rich desert)

Are you getting bored?
Yes, but not with SBD....with having to eat soup, jello, scrambled eggs and other soft foods because of not being able to chew!

Do you have a favorite recipe?
Not really. I love to try new recipes (or eat what my DH cooks) so my favorite is usually what is in front of me!

Do you get your menu's from a web site? If so, which one?
I usually hit ALLRECIPES.COM first, then GOOGLE whatever it is I am looking for.

Great thread, Grandma Marcie! I LOVE your new avatar! Seems like a lot of you are finding all kinds of beautiful images to reflect the inner you! Maybe I need something new! We are going to try for some fun...game night tonight (DS wants to play Monopoly, which last FOREVER!) We are going to the dive shop to get snorkel gear for our cruise, so that will be fun!

Gotta run...need gas before the soccer game! Take care fellow chicksters, and have a wonderful weekend!

Great topic Marcie and good morning to everyone...

What are your No No's? ---Ice cream, french fries, bread And butter

What is a staple everyday? ---some type of protein

Do you give yourself 3 bites of something? ---no, for me it's best to stay away from those things I can't control, I try to substitute something I still like, like a SF fudgebar(just one!)

Are you getting bored? ---I would if I stuck to the diet by the letter, I really do try to make things interesting and search out new products to keep me going.

Do you have a favorite recipe? Not really, unfortunately,I like just about everything.

Do you get your menu's from a web site? If so, which one? I have goten a few from some of the sites listed above. Mostly, I just try to modify recipes I really love into more healthy versions.

Well, I'm going to try this one more time. I just lost everything I had written. Has that ever happened to anyone else?

So, starting over.....

Good morning everyone!

I love your subject today Marcie!
Here's my responses:

What are my "NO-no's".....
Popcorn, pretzels, and pastry (these were my staples
prior to SBD (sad , huh?)

What are my staples?.....
Lots of veggies, LF chesse, and eggs.

Do you do the 3 bites?.....
I know my limits as far a abilities go, and this is not one
of them!!

Am I bored?
Actually, I don't feel deprived anymore at all. Very
Strange!

Do I have a favorite recipe?....
I love to try lots of different things. I just adapt them
to our likes and what's OP. I collect recipe books to keep
things interesting!

Do I get any menus from a website?.....
Cooking light is one of my favorites.

Have a great day everyone. I love the new avatars, Marcie and Sflake. I will have to settle for what I have...not computer savvy at all!! Oh, well...you can't have it all. LMAO

Good afternoon Beauties ...

No no's ... chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.

Staple ... decaf in the morning and an apple every day.

I've tried that three bite rule with no success (unless there are only 3 bites left), so try to avoid anything that that rule applies to!!!

I do sometimes get bored ... I've been busy lately and find myself falling back on the same recipes when I'm in a hurry.

I subscribe to Cooking Light and use several of their recipes, the SBD recipe exchange at ezboard ... now I'm going to check out some the web sites you guys have posted.

Have a wonderful Saturday!!!

What are your No No's? Nuts and crunchy stuff

What is a staple everyday?eggs, cheese sticks SFjello

Do you give yourself 3 bites of something?I have done that and usually can handle it.

Are you getting bored? With eggs. I love my cereal in the morning

Do you have a favorite recipe? I like the balsamic chicken from the boodk, also the rosemary salmon. Also Almond and chocolate Ricotta Creme.

Do you get your menu's from a web site? If so, which one? I check out our recipe thread now and again, also from friends, and I use the SBbook a lot. Also subscribe to Light and Tasty and there are some good recipes in that publication. i like to cook and try new things. It is much easier now that my DH is on plan with me.

Hope your weekend is full of joy. Lizzie

I downloaded a bunch of menus from the web and posted them on my site at http://mona.froth.com/SB . It's just in a directory file but you'd be silly not to use them !

I also keep my blog online at http://mona.froth.com/blog
