I see a lot of people posting before and after pictures, and I'm trying to decide if I should take before pictures. (I lost 13lbs already but it's not a huge difference in appearance) I'm really scared to, like almost if I take before photos the weight won't come off, or if I see myself I'll be too nervous to join a gym.
Any advice?? please feel free to share your b&a photos.
Lots of love
I regret deleting my "True" before pictures....the ones I took the day I started...Photos are an amazing way to see changes that are sometimes difficult for us to see otherwise. If your having trouble looking at them, is there anyone you are close to and trust enough to let them take the pictures for you, without you seeing them right away?

I went on your profile and went to your video on youtube, it was truly inspiring, infact it inspired me so much I swallowed my pride and took them myself. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I feel impowered.
Thank you.

everyone else feel free to share your thoughts on anything involving before and after pics
I could not face before pictures, but I wanted them. I set up my camera on a tripod, and snapped pictures of myself, popped out the memory card, and put it away. I haven't seen them yet! I hope they turned out!
I think when you are done, you will be very happy you took these pictures! Think about your outfit, and make sure they are pictures you won't mind others seeing. I have some fully clothed and some with just the sports bra. I have taken a few "during" pictures too, and I wore the same outfit for each one so I can really see the difference.
Take it and dont look at it now if u couldnt bare, but later u'll kill to see some of the old pic (and proud of urself)
i didnt snap my heaviest body pic purposely, and i deleted almost all of my old pic, i just "steal" this before pic from my sister's FB
omg, i never know that i used to look like that (40lbs difference)
purposely wearing the same dress
I really regret not taking "before" pictures. Sure, there are a lot of pictures of me I can use as a reference, but it would have helped tremendously to have some before pictures—even if nobody saw them but me. It's really hard to see weight loss in yourself that sometimes you need the pictures to help you realize how far you've come.
I used to have some at my highest weight but can't find them in my computer... I do have one or two. But when I started up again this summer, my doctor told me to be sure to take them, and I am doing so. I take them myself, in the mirror. I am definitely glad I am doing it.
No one else ever has to see them unless you decide to share them.

This - completely!
I'm in the same boat in that I didn't take any before pictures and really wish I had. I have some that I know I was probably close to my highest weight, but it would have really helped me on the way down to see the progress I was making because I definitely didn't always see it in the mirror even if my jeans weren't staying up.
take before pics! believe me during your journey you will need to see the progress. I still need to look at them to let myself know how far I have come. though, my pics are a month in. I still say take them! You will need them at times
