Default Limequats... yum

My new food find for the day was limequats... a cross between limes and kumquats. They are really good... wish I had bought more!!

I just did my due diligence, because honestly I hadn't heard of these before... And now I'm quite intrigued... They look like they would be an interesting addition to fresh homemade salsas and pico de gallo or guacamole... as well as serviche... and broiled fish or roasted chicken... Say instead of broiled salmon with lemon... Maybe broiled salmon with limequat... Doesn't that sound more interesting?

Enjoy!

I had never heard of them before either... I saw them at our natural market. And yes, they do sound great in pico de gallo or, I think, guacamole. I can't eat salmon or most seafood, and seldom eat meat... but even sprinkled over veggies. I just took one and cut the end off and sucked it out.
