S/C/G: 222/in progress/115

Height: 5'3"

Default losing the last 20, 30 or 40.

it's almost the end of the year and I realized that even with my regain of weight, I am 20 lbs less than what I weighed last year. I am going to stop beating myself up about where I was and instead think about where I am going. I am motivated again to finally get to goal. my initial starting weight was 222 all those years ago and today I am sitting at 153 lbs.

anyone else looking to lose the last 20, 30 or 40?

here are my questions:

what was your starting weight? 222
what is your current weight? 153
what is your goal weight? 115
how many lbs left until goal? 38
what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? i think that I was getting used to the idea of being comfortable with my body that I lowered my standards and have been letting myself eat way to much. the weight has been creeping back on since june, and it's time to get back in control. i also went back to school on september for post- college work and am finding it a little harder to juggle everything. I think my priorities had shifted and I need to make my health and self confidence a priority again.

What was your starting weight? 154lbs (142lbs with 3FC)
What is your current weight? 131lbs
What is your goal weight? 112lbs
How many lbs left until goal? 19lbs
What has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? I guess my biggest challenge right now is that I'm back at college in my last year and it's proving to be very stressful. During the summer I could workout any time I wanted too and I had a great routine for the summer. Now, with college I've set my routine to do 30 minutes on weekdays and an hour on weekends and there are times when I'm struggling with finding the time due to tests, assignments, study, questions, cases studies and job applications that need to be done. While it is a challenge for me, I am doing what I can and am proud that I am at least doing something. I hope over Christmas break I can get some more hours of exercise in. But with exams started January 3rd, I'm not so sure if I will be able to get a lot done.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? The fact that I always plateau around 195 ish and get comfortable with how things are, also with now having 3 young children and working its hard to stay completely on track like I need to be

what was your starting weight? This time 259 (high weight 312)
what is your current weight? 169
what is your goal weight? 145
how many lbs left until goal? 24
what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? Being complacent. I've never been anything lower than the 180s before as an adult and I am so happy being able to shop in normal stores and being the same size or smaller than most of the people around me that I'm not working as hard as I can to get to my goal.

Biggest challenge to losing weight now: Re-programming myself mentally to not have a preceived setpoint at 149, right now. I've been 138/139 before so I know its all mental. Mentally, I know I'm going to have to really focus and push with everything I've got to reach my ultimate goal.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? Reminding myself that this is a lifestyle change and not a diet. It's easy to pass on pizza for dinner once, but harder to recognize that I will probably never eat pizza for dinner again. (At least not the way I would have before, where I could polish off a medium pizza on my own.)

What was your starting weight? 181lbs as of 09/2011
What is your current weight? ~140lbs
What is your goal weight? ~120lbs
How many lbs left until goal? ~20lbs
What has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? My biggest challenge has been getting the umph I need to make that last shove to the 120's. I could have reached my goal months ago but I've just been hanging out here around the 140 mark. I'm not happy that I've wasted so much time but I *am* happy that I've held steady for literally 6 months with very little exercise. It means I have, at the very least, managed to control my eating habits.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? Well, other than the stress that comes with finals...Holiday food! Ugh! Not to mention that I'm getting restless, and I keep hitting these mini-plateaus (although I haven't been gaining either, so that bodes well for the maintenance phase that's just around the corner!) I just want to be done!

what was your starting weight? i wouldn't call it my "starting weight" necessarily but my highest recorded weight was 232
what is your current weight? 141
what is your goal weight? 132 is my "100 lbs" goal, but i'm thinking i'll probably ultimately want to be around 125.
how many lbs left until goal? 9-15 lbs
what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? My weight loss has been super slow (like over the course of 8 years slow), mostly because I'll stop actively trying to loose and just maintain. Yes, I've gotten pretty good at maintaining (with a couple for 10-15 lbs set backs), but now that it's the last couple of pounds, I'm finding I need to make more of an effort to see any loss. I also still have issues with binging and emotional eating, which I'm trying to make priority. So I guess midset, making WL a priority, and emotional eating are my biggest challenges.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? I haven't been able to get out of the 170's at all. This summer was rough and I yo-yoed between the same 3-4 pounds every week, even when I thought I was on plan. I work out very consistently and make mostly good choices, but I think I need to really focus on portion sizes again.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? i started my first semester of grad school this past fall, so it became hard for me to make sure i was eating right at all times. also, i barely made it to the gym throughout the week because i was always really busy or extremely tired. i used the last couple of months to just focus on school, and give myself a break for a bit, and now that i feel more rested & used to the grad school life, i feel ready to tackle my goal of trying to lose weight.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? I think my biggest recent challenge has been to take the weight off in a healthy sense. To continue losing while living. I got to an extremely unhealthy point with losing weight and basically put my life on hold so I could lose weight. Now I am learning to still enjoy my life, go out with friends, deal with the ups and downs and remember that my value as a human being isn't based on what the scale says. I need to remember to be more kind to myself.

what has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? Complacency and diet fatigue. I don't actually mind the way I look now and so sometimes, it's hard to stay motivated to eat at enough of a deficit to lose weight. Basically, I've spent the past few months bouncing around the 150-155 range.

What has recently been your biggest challenge with regards to losing the weight? Getting to the gym...When I started out, it was summer and I could ride my bike around for hours on end, but now the winter winds have come and the gym is a half hour bike ride away...which makes going back to my apartment after work seem a lot more appealing than severe windburn.
