Ideas include a rhubarb "apple"sauce, cinnamon chicken, and other things. I try to post one recipe a week at least. Hope some of these are helpful!
Debra
Thanks for sharing! I just spent some time there and it was great. I especially like your prep for the week ideas. I try but usually don't do too well with that. I tend to "wing it" but it is difficult at times, especially when the kids and I are running late for school and work.
Thanks for the great site!
On the cabbage rolls, would Garam Masala work? It seems to be made of most of the spices you mentioned.
Also, what flavored boullion cubes did you mean? I'm assuming beef...
I'm so glad you are all enjoying the recipes. I'm having a great time focusing my energy on new recipes and sharing them--it's very cathartic for me. I am feeling great on IP--I'm at my lowest weight in about 15 years, and I am still 45 lbs from my goal!
I'll keep posting new recipes and tips each week on the blog--if you all want I can put a note here when I do. I just posted a recipe for homemade sugar-free ketchup.
For the stuffed cabbage: Garam masala--I love that spice blend, and I think it could work. I used chicken bouillon cubes but beef are fine too. Let me know how it goes for you!
Debra, it would be great if you posted a reminder her too! The recipes are great!!! I appreciate all of the work that you did and your willingness to share!!!
I am a great cook but just haven't been in the mood for a while now but following recipes helps me out!
oh, oh, oh, oh oh! I love chocolate with chile peppers! I was wondering if it would work in a shake (I used to do hot chocolate with chipotle pepper). Thank you so much for having a recipe like that and sharing it. Can't wait to try it.
Debra, thanks for posting the link to your blog! I will be bookmarking that for sure, and can't wait to try some of your recipes. I enjoyed reading your blog--looks like we are on parallel tracks--same weight loss goal and I agree with your choices for favorite IP foods! I too tend to like the sweet packets and look at them as sort of an "extra" treat instead of part of the meal.
Best of luck for the rest of your journey! Looks like you are doing great!
