TGIF Daily Chat for 11/2
Happy Friday! And what a long and miserable week it has been for the East Coasters. Thank goodness the week is coming to an end and hopefully next week will hold the promise of getting back to normal again.
Coffee is on and I'm starting my day slowly. I usually have Fridays off, but I'm going in to pick up the girls after school and stay with them tonight. It will be fun and interesting, though, since their art show is being held this evening, and they'll even be a reporter there. I'll probably spend the night since I don't know how late C & R will be, and I don't like driving home on dark country roads late at night.
So how's everyone Friday looking? Any fun plans for the weekend?

Good morning, Linda. I'm glad you are planning to stay overnight at the Farm after the art show. I know those roads you drive and don't like to even think about them at night.
No gym this morning per Dr Jack's orders. He gets the knee x-ray results this morning and we will "discuss" them. He did change my meds slightly but I didn't get to our wee drugstore in time to get the script filled. We had a gentle discussion about my weight gain and I am to email him monthly to report. (He never insists I get weighed at the office.)
Heather, the boys and her new wee dog, Miss Bowser, came for beef stew last night. The kids were not thrilled about the cauliflower but I did some regular potatoes too. It was an early night since the boys were pooped from staying up late on Halloween.
Today, aside from trundling my butt back to the Clinic, should be an "at home" day and that's a good thing. (By the way, where is Martha these days?) I may get some blocks cut for a new quilt or even do some machine quilting on the one Linda and I pinned last February!
Hope your Friday is a good one. This has been quite the week!

Hey chicks!
Just got the kids on the bus, off to do a few appointments, run to Sam's, maybe get a workout, then work this afternoon.
And then I just realized I have to let the cats out of their feeding zones....have a good one!

Good Morning
My day off, but a coworker's DH is in the hospital so I'm headed in. I was anticipating this so we went to Denver last eve for WFoods shopping(out of Kale) and I got a short bike ride while Kirk and Bing walked.
Linda, sounds like a fun day/night even if it is work.
Ruth, I hope your knee results are positive.
Twynn, I can't imagine feeding zones lol
Better run.
Be safe and take care everyone!

Quick flyby for me, yesterday was great all op and no problems resisting the candy at all.
I feel for all of the people on the East Coast having such a hard time, sending prayers that way.
Have a great Friday

Good morning. Things settling in here somewhat, but ordered in to work through Tuesday. My first day off is now scheduled for next Sunday. Definitely not complaining. Only 1 gas station open and waited almost 45 minutes to fill up, but I am blessed to have a car and a job. Several cops lost their homes. John is going out there tomorrow to bring my pressure washer and John's shop vac. I am incredibly blessed.
Have a wonderful day

Hi all,
still around but harrowing last week - my dad has been stuck in Manhattan and can't get home to Staten Island, which is not faring much better. Not much else on my mind (except the 10 pieces of Halloween candy I've eaten this week ).
Hope you all are well!

Good afternoon, ladies. Sad day here today, as one of our retired Lieutenants from the fire department shot and killed his son in a hunting accident this morning. I can't even begin to imagine what he's going through. Breaks my heart.
Work all weekend for me...extra hour, at that. Hope you ladies have a good weekend!!!

I'm so very sorry, Natasha. What a tragedy to end a horrible week!
