I'm not yet down 20 lbs and although I took before pictures I don't want to take any progress pics until I've reached 160. I know the first lbs usually show more in the arms, legs and face anyways.

The other day my husband, daughter and I headed out to the park and while he was playing with her on the swing I was playing around with the camera and decided to randomly take a picture. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't turn out horrible lol.

So I decided to pull up a picture I had taken last year with my daughter around the same time. I hate being in pictures but decided it wasn't fair to my daughter to not have some of us together when she was young. Now I'm glad I made myself take some pictures.

My official starting weight was 180, but I knew I had been bigger than that and had lost before I started weighing. It's not a big difference but I can see a change in my face from last summer and now, which makes up for these horrendously sore muscles I'm sporting atm.

Sorry about the clevage.. the ladies have a mind of their own.



The other big difference? Look how green the grass was last year We're in the middle of a bad drought and everything is so dry and dead.

guys i need your help...i think I have body image dysmorphia...or whatever it's called. when i look myself in the mirror i don't think i'm that fat at all...but on some pictures when other people take them i look like giant whale. i don't know if it's the mirrorrs fault or my eyes fault. i feel like i see things differently than other people do.
so i would like you to tell me what do you think my weight is on these pictures...you dont have to be very precise
i didn't wan't to make a new thread because i know there is one about body image but i can't find it.
thank you.
p.s.these pics were taken after a full week of binging and i can't get out of this cycle of losing and gaining the same 5-8 pounds. :/

Its very possible those pictures you mention that friends take are taken at random unflattering angles! Or maybe even just angles you're not used to seeing of yourself.

CanadianMomma - You look like you're making some awesome progress! The difference in your face is huge.

missunshine - You definitely DO NOT look like a whale! You look great to me. There are a lot of posters on this forum that have issues with binge eating. Try doing a search or check out the Chicks in Control area. They might provide you with suggestions on how to break the cycle. Good luck, you can do it!

Canadianmomma: You don't really look 180 in your first picture even, but you can definitely see a difference. Great job!

missunshine: You think that you look like a whale in those pictures specifically? O.o If you look like a whale, I don' think there's an animal large enough to compare myself to...you look awesome. You're 3'' taller than me, so I couldn't can't really visualize the height difference to guess a weight, but you definitely look like you would be near the middle of the normal weight range. Thin without being bony. Also, I would kill for my legs to look as good as yours do.

Dottington: You're a size EIGHT? Are you sure? I think I'm about an 8 now, but you look so much smaller! Keep up the awesome work...you look amazing!

missunshine Aw thank you so much! My brother and sister are actually models and I've always felt like the fat ugly one so your comment really made me happy

hotaruchan Thank you! I haven't been able to go clothes shopping for a while so I'm not entirely sure on the size....but I think the real reason I look smaller maybe is just my body shape.

hotaruchan no i don't think i look like a whale on this pic but on some other pics that other take...when i take pics of me i know what are my best angles so it helps. and i have to say that my legs are my favorite part because they have nice muscle definition but it's not so much visible on these pics. well my weight on that pic is 195 pounds...and i don't feel like 195 pound.

dottington...wow your siblings are models? i think you have nice chances...you would rock as a plus size model too

Greener- You look great!

These are some shots from Week One vs Week Two. I can kind of tell a difference but not a huge one. The shirt in the second pic is also slightly looser than the other one. The other one is just me being silly.

Hey guys... I thought I'd join in! I sometimes get disheartened when I don't feel like I've lost much or look very different so I thought I'd see how I look through pics.

This is me near my highest weight around 264ish I never realised that's how I looked. I blamed it on bad angles etc:






Around 240ish. I first started to notice a few changes here with my face:



Around 230 at the end of year ball with my girlies:



The day before my first 10K run around 220:



Most recently around 215:



Now all I need is to get to onederland for my next update
