I gotta say, I never realized how motivational the Foo Fighters are until the last few years when I really started listening to their lyrics. They have one song called "All my Life" that really does sound like it could be about the battle with weightloss.
Here's a few of the the lyrics:
"All my life I've been searching for something,
Something never comes never leads to nothing,
Nothing satisfies but I'm getting close,
Closer to the prize at the end of the rope,
All night long I dream of the day,
When it comes around and it's taken away,
Leaves me with the feeling that I feel the most
Will I find something in there, To give me just what I need
Another reason to bleed, One by one hidden up my sleeve
Don't let it go to waste, I love it but I hate the taste
Weight keepin' me down"
It has definitely become my weightloss theme song...I mean c'mon, it's perfect! Do any of you guys have a motivational song that you listen to for a pick me up when you're getting frustrated?

Mine is 'Go Hard' by Nicki Minaj ft. Lil Wayne. I'm not a huge Minaj fan but that song SPEAKS to me. BIG TIME. Hahaha I always listen to it when I need a reminder of what I'm doing for myself. It has been my theme song for a few years now and never fails me.
One of my old favorite songs is "Slide" by Goo Goo Dolls. I listened to it on my discman (!) a lot back when I got to my lowest adult weight about 12 years ago, and even though it has absolutely nothing to do with weight loss, the set of lyrics I kept repeating in my head was, "What you feel is what you are and what you are is beautiful." That somehow kept me motivated to keep going on my walks, since I think I'd felt ugly most of my life and I really wanted to feel "beautiful" like the girl he was singing to.
One of my new favorites is that Imagine Dragons song, and it feels motivational as well . . .
It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
(That) I’m never changing who I am
So this is where you fell
And I am left to sell
The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded **** right to the top
Don’t look back
Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain check
Without getting too hokey, I'm on a somewhat h3llish path to change my health for the better, but I'll always be the same person inside . . . and sometimes I don't think everyone else can see that.
mine is...
Beautiful by Christina Aguillera
the music is awesome to stretch and/or cool down too! the lyrics are what alot of us over weight, self conscious, down on ourself ladies really need to hear and understand! I AM BEAUTIFUL, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!
It's just a fun song, high tempo for workouts. And it's the perfect song to listen to when I'm imagining myself at goal. I mean, check the lyrics, this is pretty much what most of us expect to happen once we lose all the weight, lol.
When I walk in the spot, this is what I see
Everybody stops and they staring at me
I got passion in my pants and I ain't afraid to show it
I'm sexy and I know it
Ah... Girl look at that body
Ah... I work out
When I get to the end of a tough work out and really need a push, I start hearing Rocky's theme song called Gonna Fly Now. Hilarious but I can't help it.
Trying hard now
it's so hard now
trying hard now
Getting strong now
won't be long now
getting strong now
Gonna fly now
flying high now
gonna fly, fly, fly...
mine has always been "Not Afraid" by Eminem...because alot of my weight loss has been facing my fears....of losing weight, of losing that crutch of food, fear of what would happen as i lost weight, would i be tempted to stray? would i decide i'm not content in my job? etc...etc....would i be noticed? that's a huge thing, i am veryyy shy....so yes, for me "Not Afraid" is what i think of when i need to push past something
I don't have a particular song, but the chorus in a U2 song has stuck with me from the beginning of my change in eating habits. The song is "I'll Go Crazy if I Don't Go Crazy Tonight."
"A change of heart comes slow
It's not a hill, it's a mountain
As you start out the climb
Do you believe me, or are you doubting
We're gonna make it all the way to the light
But I know I'll go crazy if I don't go crazy tonight"
I tells me that any aspect of life can be a slow and steady struggle that looks bigger than you can handle at the beginning, but is manageable if you stick with it. And, once in a while, we all go crazy.
